They might be making room for the cap.
The Raiders have no picks until the 5th and 6th rounds. Compensatory picks may get them 3 more picks.
But, this is Oakland so all bets are off.

Oakland is broke, the crypt keeper drove the team nearly into bankruptcy, they have to release these high priced players. This will not be the last.
