i was watching the Texans/Dophins game down here in san antonio...Trent Green was throwing a block and got kneed in the side of the head.

That is true. Last years one surely had something to do with this one being as bad as it is.

That guy is a total "Dee-dee-dee"!!! After the game, he accused Trent of being a dirty player. He believes that Trent was trying to hurt him, by going low with his block attempt. The guy was giving-up over one hundred pounds, for Allahs sake!!! ( Insert your favorite diety for Allah, if you wish. I just thought it would be nice to include Allah for once.Lol)

Then, take into account that the Texans employ those kind of blocks as a major part of their offense. If it's dirty for your opponent to do it, then it is certainly dirty, for your own team to do it.

Obviously, Green made a mistake. With the defender not seeing him, Trent could have easily hit him in his shoulder and knocked him off track.

I don't know what kind of puke taunts an unconscious man. But I am not terribly supportive of puke, either way.

If he doesn't get fined for the taunting I will be upset. You don't taunt a hurt player. I know if Matt Schuab would have been taunted like that the Texans would have been irrate. No class by that player. If the league doesn't do something then the team surely should.

I doubt that a team that uses chep tactics, as the Texans do, would bother to dicipline their own players, for showing no class.

Well didn't the Titans suspend Hayensworth themselves when he stomped on that Dallas Players head? I could be mistaken but I thought the team suspended him and then the league followed with a fine or vise versa.

The Titans play with a certain amount of class. They don't employ that kind of cheap-shot blocking as the foundation of their offense.

This is the Roger Goodell era, Why go for a fine, I think a 4 game suspension would be a good place to start, this F&*(^% just moved to number one on my list of most hated NFL players, Moves past Haynesworth, Past MaryBoy. I dont think a fine is enough ... get him Goodell, and I dont say this just because it was Trent Green although I have to believe because of knowing what Trent Green is all about and not every hearing this jerks name. If Trent was gonna intentionally take someone out he would have took out a better player. BTW heard Trent was released from the hospital last night.

HOUSTON -- Miami Dolphins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=mia) quarterback Trent Green (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2547) rejoined his team after he sustained a concussion in Sunday's game against Houston and was taken to a hospital.

Green was back in the locker room after the Dolphins' 22-19 loss, with a bandage behind his right ear. He was not made available to the media, but he was expected to fly back to Miami with the team, coach Cam Cameron said.
The 37-year-old Green was sidelined for more than half of last season for the Kansas City Chiefs (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=kan) after sustaining a concussion in the opener.
Cameron doubted Green would play next week when the Dolphins (0-5) face Cleveland. He wouldn't speculate on Green's future beyond that.
"That will all work itself out,'' Cameron said.
The Dolphins had the ball at the Texans' 25 on Sunday when Green gave the ball to Ted Ginn Jr. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=8263) The rookie fumbled, then picked the ball up and reversed field as the defense chased him.
Texans defensive tackle Travis Johnson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7192) hit Green in the head with his knee before Ginn was tackled by Anthony Weaver (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5938). After the play ended, Johnson stood over Green and taunted him, drawing a 15-yard penalty.
Johnson apologized to Houston coach Gary Kubiak during the game for the penalty. But Johnson was furious later, accusing Green of blocking him at the knees on purpose.
"The bottom line is, it was a malicious hit. It was uncalled for,'' Johnson said. "He's like the scarecrow. He wants to get courage while I wasn't looking, and hit me in my knee instead of trying to hit me in my head. God don't like ugly, you know what I mean?
"My knee ain't never hurt like it hurt today,'' Johnson said. "If you want to hit me, hit me in my head, hit me in my chest, don't hit me in my knee. I'm trying to eat just like everybody else. So, to hit me like that, that showed me what type of man he was.''
The Dolphins ripped Johnson after the game.
"I didn't see it,'' said running back Ronnie Brown (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7178). "I just heard guys saying that he was standing over him. When a guy is laying down, not moving, that's just something you can't do.''
"It was really a classless play,'' said kicker Jay Feely (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5447).
Green lay still for several seconds as medical staff rushed to check on him. The Dolphins gathered near midfield and kneeled to pray a few feet away.
"You're uncertain what's taking place,'' Cameron said. "It's out of your hands and you just pray for the best.''
Green was strapped to a stretcher and carted off as both teams crowded around him. He was moving his arms on the field and Cameron said Green was receptive when he spoke to him.
"When they got him on the board, he was smiling, and he looked at me and was talking,'' Cameron said. "I said, 'Hey, how we doing?' He said, 'I'm OK, I'm OK.' "
It was the second serious injury in the last two games at Reliant Stadium. Two weeks ago, Houston defensive tackle Cedric Killings (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5327) was taken off the field on a stretcher after getting hit on a special teams play against Indianapolis.
Killings broke a vertebrae in his neck and was hospitalized for five days.
Green was acquired by the Dolphins in June. Cleo Lemon (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7026) replaced him and was 15-of-27 for 151 yards. Lemon was appearing in his fifth game in four NFL seasons.

The league suspended him for 5 games, which cost him around $190,000. The team went after some of his signing bonus money, not sure how much or if they got anything...

Isn't Haynesworth still on TN?! If so it was someone else that did the damage to Green, but I think the comparison was made as they composed themselves similarly.

This was my greatest fear about Trent going to Miami and continuing his career. I honestly expected this but NEVER wanted to see it. I'm just glad it's not more serious than it is. I beg those doctors to tell Trent he needs to cut his losses and retire. Football is the greatest game ever invented, IMO and Trent's determination is a testiment to him as a great competitor but trying to salvage anything at this point is not worth his future with his family.

Albert Haynesworth, who cleated another players face last year, was and is with the Titans. He is also becoming a very good DT. Still a schmuck.

Robert Gaithers, who gave Trent Green a concussion last season, is and was with the Bengals. We eill se him this weekend.

Trvis Johnson, who was talking trash to an unconscious Trent Green Sunday, is on the Texans. He clearly is being too critical of a tactic that his own team employs as the foundation of their blocking scheme.

Just trying to clarify some appearent confusion.
