Wow! Freedom of speech, okay, but this was charged to draw attention. I am not black (native american) and can handle being name called racial slurs or epithets if the context is in a kidding around manner (which I assume was his case) and not to explicit (also his case). However, I very much doubt this clown knew these fellas just as he doesn't know me. If he called me a monkey to my face or a Bow Bender (http://www.johncglass.com/racialslurs.htm), I guess, (I'd rather not use any other slur in this case) I'd punch him in the eye. That would be my knee-jerk reaction and yes he should have been fired as a result in my opinion.
