Apparently, according to Profootballtalk, McNeill is scheduled to come in for a visit with us next week.

Im not sure if his neck is 100%, but I guess he is our backup plan if Winston decides to leave without a contract.

An interesting note is that McNeill played LT for San Diego.

I'm likeing that we are bringing in so many guys and have a backup plan. I would much rather have Winston though

How bout the Chiefs sign Winston... AND McNeil? The Chiefs could take an OG in the 3rd or 4th round as interior depth in case McNeil or ANYONE on the line gets hurt. If McNeil goes down, move Albert from OG back to LT and insert draft pick.

So, you'd have McNeil, Albert, Hudson, Asomoah, Winston with the rookie backing up the entire line.

This scenario also frees up #11 to draft an ILB.

Don't show 31 this... don't want him having to clean up his computer.

I really want to land winston. One of Piolis first comments coming out of the season was that we have to get better along the O - Line. The time is now to put their money where their mouth is and make this thing happen.

Talent in the trenches will never come cheap.

What bothers me about all of this is that McNeil became expendable to The Chargers, because they acquired a guy that I had high hopes for, and who we released as worthless.

But I would like to see us take a chance on McNeil. He has been a very good LOT in his pro career.

I like him, but only if we have good depth and a plan for if/when he gets hurt. I think I read he missed something like 10 games the past two seasons.
