I had mentioned this when the cut was reported and would love to see this happen!

Reports that KC could be in line to land recently cut pass rusher Kamrion Wimbley! (http://kansascity.sbnation.com/kansas-city-chiefs/2012/3/19/2884193/kamerion-wimbley-to-chiefs-mike-florio-free-agency)

I know we have Houston and Hali, but with the Donkey's landing Peyton, we need to make sure our pass rush will give him nightmares while he sleeps! and adding Wimbley would be a scary thought, and propel our D to one of the tops in the league!

The connections lie with Romeo Crennel, who was the Head Coach who drafted Wimbley to play in Cleveland, Wimbley is also a native of Wichita, KS and my use this opportunity as a way to get back closer to home (my guess is he might have been a Chief's Fan growing up, since he is from the area, if he come's for a visit wearing a "red polo" it's a good sign!)

This from NBC Sports.com

"
Winner: Chiefs.
Yes, they were denied admission to the Peyton chase. But let’s not forget that, despite all the dysfunction and key injuries of 2011, the Chiefs weren’t far away from winning the weakest division in the NFL.

Unlike most teams, the Chiefs found bargains even before the market softened, adding running back Peyton Hillis (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4965/peyton-hillis) to a one-year, fire-under-butt-lighting $2.6 million contract, tight end Kevin Boss (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4264/kevin-boss) for three years and $9 million, right tackle Eric Winston (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3648/eric-winston), and backup quarterback Brady Quinn (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4149/brady-quinn).

Hillis and Quinn played for offensive coordinator Brian Daboll in Cleveland, adding some familiarity to the new Romeo Crennel regime. Winston addresses a key area of need, and Boss gives the Chiefs a second pass-catching tight end, which apparently is now a mandatory requirement for any team that hopes to be highly successful in the passing game.

Next up, don’t be surprised if Crennel lures another former Brown to Kansas City, with linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3685/kamerion-wimbley) on the market."

I would absolutely LOVE that rotation. Our Pass rush would be SCARY!

I agree on the title of the thread being decidedly stylish. :D And yes, I'm not sure on what he is looking at contract wise however at the right price it would be great to add a 7 sack per year guy if he wanted to come home.

You also could have added "according to reports from NBC ..."

Just so long as he doesn't eat green eggs and ham before gametime...

This is shaping up to be a very interesting free agency!

Would have, but it wouldn't let me! That was the longest possible title to a thread!

Would hate to see a player blow chunks of green eggs and ham on the sidelines!

I'm quite happy with what we have done in FA so far and if we pulled this one off, it would be one of our best FA in a long time!

Wimbley Leaves Tennessee without a contract! Chiefs might still be in mix (http://kansascity.sbnation.com/kansas-city-chiefs/2012/3/19/2885059/kamerion-wimbley-leaves-titans-chiefs-nfl-free-agency)

Oh... Another dig?

Because we all know that there is no difference between a player saying something, and a member of the press writing that.... a league source.... EXPECTS something to happen.

Hey, if one guy tells me that someone else thinks you are going to tryout for the team, I should call you a liar when you don't tryout, right?

What the heck are you talking about? i was commenting on the fact that the thread title rhymed and I thought he quoted a source from NBCSports.com. I misread the url but I was suggesting "As I expected and Giddy as can be-talks of Wimbly coming to KC according to reports from NBC."

I was commenting on the rhyme scheme. Where did I call anyone a liar in this thread? Did you read the whole thread or did you just skip down to my post and twist it out of context so you could take a discussion we were having in one thread and spread it across the whole forum?

Yeah, I know. That's why I don't understand Chief31's post. He took a discussion we were having in another thread and tried to force what I posted here into that context. I can't believe he even read the post I was responding to, or your response to my post, or I don't think he would have said that. This isn't like him. :smile

Well, yeah. My mistake. :D

But it certainly didn't need any forcing. It fits pretty nicely if you come from the other discussion to that post.

My apologies for the misunderstanding.

That's what I figured. No worries, buddy. I love having these little debates with you and you are very good at it. Sometimes you even pull me in when I don't really care about the topic. (See my reply to your last post in "Manning Train" thread!) :D

Maybe it's just me but I think if he tears his head off once he's not going to get a second chance unless the training staff is very wise in the ways of duct tape.
