The New York Jets offense has been struggling, but things are going to get tougher for them this week when three more players on offense look to be out Monday night against the Houston Texans. QB Matt Schaub already is without WR Santonio Holmes for the rest of the season after he suffered a Lisfranc injury last week. Now, the Jets will be without TE Dustin Keller, rookie WR Stephen Hill and FB John Conner. All three players have been listed as doubtful and all three are suffering a hamstring injury.

The calls for the Jets to replace Mark Sanchez under center are growing louder, but in all fairness to Sanchez, no quarterback in the world could help this offense right now with the lineup being devoid of playmakers.

In order to replace Holmes in the lineup, the Jets signed little known receiver Jason Hill last week. New York wasnít planning on activating him this week but the team might be forced to. New York is going to play Jeremy Kerley, Chaz Shillens and Clyde Gates at receiver against the Houston Texans.

Itís hard to imagine what the plans are for the Jets going forward. Veterans such as WR Plaxico Burress and tight ends Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow Jr are on the street, but the team seems disinterested.

Last week the San Francisco 49ers administered a 34-0 beatdown of the Jets. New York has only scored one touchdown in their last 34 possessions, a problem which plagued the team in the preseason as well. Now here come the Houston Texans. The Texans possess a smothering defense which allows just 273 yards per game, 14 points per game and feature a fierce pass rush.

If the Jets go another game with a lackluster offensive performance, which seems likely given the match, look for some changes to be coming to the Jets on Tuesday on next week.
