It is official. Scott Pioli could not handle being stripped of his power & he and the Chiefs mutually agreed to part ways.

It looks more official that Reid is going to be the HC. I believe he deserves a fair chance in KC, regardless of what's gone on in Philly. It's a fresh new start for him in KC.

This is a badly needed step in stopping the bleeding in KC. And the Chiefs have been bleeding since 2007 with the worst record in the AFC.

Pioli only rubbed salt in the wounds while he was here. Especially his disdain for rebuilding the Chiefs once great O-Line from the day he walked in the door.

The Scott Pioli experiment is over and boy did it ever go wrong. He was generally disliked by 90 - 95% of the fanbase in the end I'd guess.... bad times but he's gone. I was onboard when we got him even though I knew very little other than his success in New England. Well, best to you on your journeys Mr Pioli just so long as they are in a far away division.

Our former GM exited with some class. He admitted he did not get the job done but I think he always made his decisions with the Chief's best interests foremost in his mind.

The problem was he tried doing it the Patriot way instead of forging his own creativity and you can't do that as a GM. His inflexibility led to his demise.

Pioli couldn't fix the obvious. The O-line was getting manhandled by every afc west opponent (especially the Raiders) and still is. The $60 million dollar backup QB didn't pan out. Todd Haley, Romeo, letting Weis go just as they were beginning to have some success, Tyler Palko, wiretaps - the list of Pioli follies could go on forever.

Yeah, I think he really wanted to succeed, but was just not good at what he was getting paid to do here. I think he had good intentions, but bad ideas of how to get there. Glad we are moving into a new chapter of the Chiefs. May this one work out for the best!

Of course he wanted to succeed, of course he did it his way, if he accomplished doing it the patriots way, we would have won our division and be in the playoffs. of course he did what HE thought was in the best interest of the CHIEFS. he just FAILED at it, subsequently our team sucked and he was asked to leave.

the "Peter Principle" states; given enough time and opportunity everyone will rise to their level of inefficiency.
