I think this is going to be an amzing hire. The guy has wanted to be GM here for a long time, was brought up around a stable organization and is the polar opposite of the former GM.:chiefs:

He is big not too many players could intimidate him.

Admittedly he lacks experience in many areas that GMs traditionally hold sway over, but what he is best at is what we need most. I think he will work out well because it appears that Hunt is not looking for a "strong executive" at GM but rather expects team management to be handled by himself, Reid and Dorsey each doing what they are best at. It's a different management formula than we are used to in KC, but in this case I think it will work out well.

Me too! I think Clark and Reid have done an amazing job so far. We've brought in some great talent.

Happy we have him I like what I see even though it bugs me that he doesn't know how to finish a sentence. He lets you know he's done speaking with a headbuttish head nod.

When he was a player, he was a linebacker....and that was back when a linebacker's big priority was seriously damaging people. Doesn't matter to me how well he can tell me what he is going to do so long as the results are good!

If things get too bad, Clark can hire a translator for him.

I am leaning on the like the hire, but withholding from a committed like till results are produced. Just the way I am these days.

Keys words by John Dorsey spoken to Mitch Holthus -- "I know I have to EARN everybody's trust". Totally different perspective than what Pioli had, for sure.

+1. Sick of all the feel-good introduction speeches...After all this time, KC needs some results. Won't bash the guy, but want to see the results.
