or you could post a real cassel highlight video.. or we could go make mock video's of all the draft picks cause lord knows they've had bad plays too.

Great thread. Hopefully we draft a QB early and sign a free agent. Our 2013 starter is not currently on this roster.

One thing to remember would be to carefully screen the video's you wish to embed for language taboos. :smile

sorry, i typed in matt cassell highlights and that is what came up, probably because he sucks that bad. i am sure matt is a good dude and i wished he would have panned out for us but he didn't. his days as a starting nfl qb are long gone. time to move on

the problem w/highlight videos are they are just that "highlights" which means u see all the best plays. you really need to see a "lowlights" video to see what u really are getting. u could make a tebow highlights video from denver that would make him look like RGIII.

Was going to write the same thing we need to see the ugly highlisghts as well. I want to know the bad as well as the good before i make a judgment.

you can gather plenty of info from highlight clips. you can see accuracy, ball placement how they stand in the pocket, but most of all they are there for enjoyment can you scout a player off of them no. can you watch and enjoy them ya, ha and i beg to differ about the tebow highlights,

ya i did and he looks nothing like rg3. i see a qb who brings his arm down way to far in his throwing motion,is awefully inaccurate with his throws, throws off his back foot, doesnt hit his receivers in stride and he is not even that fast at running the ball.

no what u saw was a QB who made every thro, completed every pass, thru and ran for multiple TDs. now if u watched a whole game u would have seen something entirely different and if u watched multiple games u would have to figure he was a lot luckier than good.

oh is that what i saw o.k. you really come on here to argue about highlight reels. to funny. the original thread was for viewing pleasure. if you havn't followed college football throughout the year enough to know the qb's behind the highlight reels that's your bad.

no, my point was that i have watched most of these QBs in games, Geno Smith in particular i watched four of his games, one he was stellar, another he was pretty good and two he looked flat. so i don't have any faith in highlight reels since they don't tell the whole story. if anyone here are watching a QB for the first time and bases his opinion on thease highlights then i am just trying to suggest they watch an entire game or two. again Geno throws alot of flanker screens and under 5yd patterns that his receivers add on tons of YACs so his stats may not be a true representative of his skills. not saying he won't be a good NFL QB but you won't see that many 1yd throws go for 60yds. just sayin all may not be as it appears.

i just found something surprising to me, while one of geno's top receivers [austin] had over 900yds of his 1200+yds were YAC [as i expected], bailey only had 500yds of 1500+ yds were YAC...that is a positive in geno's corner

to put those numbers in perspective wes welker led the nfl this year in YACs 658yds of 1379yds receiving [16 games]

in my eyes yac yards are not a bad thing when it comes to a qb. does it inflate numbers abit yes. but it also means the qb knows how to hit a wr in stride. how many times did you watch mccluster running a slant only to have the ball thrown behind him and then being drilled buy the opposite team. yac yards would be a very welcome change in k.c next year

i'm not saying it is a bad thing, only that you will likely not see those types of #'s in the nfl. the defense's and the talent on them too good to allow alot of those flanker screens to go for 60yds. you will get the occasional one that breaks off a big gainer but for the most part they are in the 10 yd range if successful. again just trying to get everyone to consider the big picture. there is always more to it than what u see on highlight reels.
