I'll defiantly be watching, I was too young to remember him playing but I've seem old 90's games and he was unbelievably good.

There's not been a player like him since, in my mind. He was one of a kind.

The show, A Fooball Life: Derrick Thomas, will Premiere Tuesday, September 24 at 8:00pm Central time. It will be immediately followed by A Football Life: Backstory, which takes a deeper look at DT's career, from 9:00 to 9:30pm.

The main show will also re-air Tuesday night at 11:00pm, Wednesday afternoon (9/25) at 3:00pm, and Saturday afternoon (9/28) at 3:00pm.

Unfortunately, the back story will only air once and I'm going to miss it because I shoot in a pool league on Tuesday nights. :sign0053:
But I will definitely catch one of the rebroadcasts of the main show!

I'm not sure I can watch it. I will out of the deep respect, but it will be a painfull show. He was truly the best of the best. Class to the bone. Father was a military pilot and died at an early age. Drove him to be the best he could be. Then he was robbed of life far too soon. Honstly, I don't know that I can watch it all. I'm a grown man with many of my own tough experiences, and yet I know this show will bring tears.

For those who have stated that they were too young to remember: I was old enough and no man has ever filled his shoes or have came close. Live on, fight hard, and don't forget the past.

You're not alone. I'm sure my kids will be wondering what Dad is crying about. Live on and have faith. He lives in our hearts and our defense.

Just finished watching. Such a touching story. What a great man, despite his flaws. I wore my "58" to the Eagles game on Thursday and smiled through all the abuse heaped on me that day. Rest in Peace Derrick Thomas.

I do not have nfl network, but my son, by married to my daughter, is dvring it for me. Derrick Thomas, #58. One of, if not the greatest Chief in physical ability to ever play football. I would bet he could play to this day! The best over all LB to ever play in the NFL! His life ended by our opinion to soon. But it is not up to us when our time in life is done. Derrick Thomas, Forever a Chief Legend! A NFL Legend!!!!! Would have loved to see him play to the full extend of his career, but it was not to be. One of the saddest days of my life, was when he died.
