Keyshawn Johnson just said that it will be a long day for David Carr (http://www.nfl.com/players/davidcarr/profile?id=CAR358385) since Andre Johnson is inactive. Umm...Carr doesn't play for the Texans, Key.

this is another reason why former players shouldn't be analysts

I agree with you in general, but Jaws is pretty good...so its not all the former players. Just has something to do with IQ is my thought.

Seems to me like the new trend is player/analysts. Stay with Micheals, Jaws and sigh....Madden. The Sharpes, Jamie Dukes and Keyshawn etc are all idiots

He is the exception to the rule I agree. Put johnson, sharpe, etc don't know nothing and should just retire and enjoy that money they made.

I like Darryl Johnson (despite being a former Cowpie), Randy Cross, Howie Long and I'm sure if I wanted to I could come up with 3-4 more players who've proved decent or better analysts.

Terrell Davis, Merril Hoge, Rod Woodson, Sterling Sharpe, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Boomer Esiason, Dan Fouts, Len Dawson, Rich Gannon, Brian Baldinger, etc...

I like alot of them. And you have to have former players, to bring credibility to the job.

I disagree on Terry Bradshaw...he's funny, but not insightful...Boomer is useless...and I forgot about the bright Sharpe...he's great. Agree on the rest of the list.

Bradshaw is great!! You are right, he is just funny, but I gotta have that. And if you can get past Boomers "I was all-that" bias, then he is a pretty good analyst, IMO. I also like Dan Marino.
