No and no. They dont fit our defense. Pollard isnt a fs. Allen is a 4-3 end and is a liability against the run.

The whole reason Jared Allen was traded was because Carl Peterson urinated in his cereal and Allen called him on it.

While Pollard was let go by a guy who made a lot of mistakes, and possibly holding a grudge against Pollard for hitting Brady at the Knees, Pollard was every bit of a liability in the passing game as the safeties are trying to replace. He whiffed at least once out of every four plays in run support and he was challenging the coaches in the locker room which gave him his walking papers.

No. It was a combination of the "We can't afford both Larry Johnson & Jared Allen" spiel from Peterson's office and Jared's DUI's.

Not sure either player would fit in with what we're doing now.
