The season is 25% done and it already feels like it has been two seasons.

You have the first season of the first two weeks where the offense was lackluster to say the least allowing sacks turning the ball over all the things that a bad football team does. This along with the defense not making many stops and it had all the looks that the Chiefs would once again be picking in the top 10 of the draft.

Fast forward two weeks the Chiefs have now scored over 30 points in the last two weeks. Including a blow out of the New England Patriots with Tom Brady playing. The defense has showed up like they did in the first half of last season and all of a sudden the Chiefs look like a playoff contender.

Now we have to ask the question which team is the real Kansas City Chiefs?

Is it just a case of a young team having some early bumps which happens in the league and this is going to be the team that we are going to see going forward.

Or did they just happen to catch a couple of teams at the right time and they will soon revert back to being the bad team we saw in the preseason and to start the year.

This weeks game against the 49ers will be a huge step in getting that answer. If they want to be taken seriously then they have to show up and show they can play with the 49ers. They can not lay an egg after gaining a huge bit of momentum after blowing out the Pats. It's hard to say that game 5 of a season is a make or break game in the NFL but this looks like one for the Chiefs. They need to show us just who they are.

GET IT DONE
GO CHIEFS

We all knew the early part of the season was going to be rough. If memory serves me right I think most of the "experts" figured us for 1-3 at this point. So we are ahead of the curve. But this game against SF is truly a huge game. Alex gets a chance for payback and our Chiefs get a chance to say they are seriously in the playoff hunt. Like tonight's game against the splats this is a "must win".
