I do not think they will cut him yet, if they did he will have $9 M of dead money to count to the cap and only safe $5 m. If they wait until after Jun 1 dead money is only $3 M with a saving of $11 M.

Damn i got excited for nothing. I want all the wr gone. Except the younger rookies who till ha e something to prove. Im done with this meddling veterans that dont show up in games. Id rather go with the unknowns cuz then there is still hope. Some people i guess would tale that same aproach with the qb but i think the qb is to important to chance it with unknowns. Smith is above average qb. I really do think with a good set of wr amd oline he can take us all tje way. People forget he should have beeen to the superbowl with the 49ers if not for two muffed punts and last years playoff game against the colts he was our offense just our defense let us down again.
