PEKIN, Ill. (AP) - A 1-time NFL All-Pro lineman and former Fox Sports broadcaster will get a new judge in his drug possession and weapons case.
Bill Maas appeared Thursday in Tazewell (TAZ'-well) County Circuit Court, where his request to substitute the judge was granted.
Maas is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance after Illinois State Police allegedly found cocaine and Ecstasy in his Hummer during a July roadside safety check in East Peoria.
The 45-year-old is also charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a weapon after police allegedly found a loaded handgun in the vehicle.
