1- Dwayne Bowe?

or

2- A Chiefs WR?

I've no money to risk on a bet, but I'd say A Chiefs WR.

Manzel most likely will target Bowe before Alex targets a Chiefs receiver in the end zone. That's IF Bowe becomes available for them soon.

Isn't bow listed as 3rd string for them. It is a very interesting question though. I predict, a WR TD this coming Monday. It will probably be thrown by a receiver, with 1st and Goal from the two though.

Bowe seems to be in the dog house with the coaches in Cleveland. He seemed to genuinely like Andy. If Cleveland dumps him it would be interesting if we would sign him cheap as a 2 or a slot receiver. He was very good in the slot and can dominate there, IMO.

No problem IF HE COMES BACK FOR A BOATLOAD LESS MONEY.

That would be great IMO

Bowe AND Maclin would be a great 1 2 punch. Bowe IMO is not a real number 1. He played yesterday and had 0 catches. That I think says a lot about the WR core that this team has fielded over the years. Also the guy who started along with Bowe last year couldn't even make a team this year

Complete agreement. With both of them on the field I think our downfield passing game would improve by a notch or 3. But Bowe would have to agree to play for a lot less money. He ain't no Maclin.

Why wouldn't he, if he is CUT by the Browns?

Can't answer that as I don't know what goes on inside Bowe's head. I do know that many people offered a job by a recent employer who fired them would think....."OH BOY! They need me!!! Now I can get a payday!"

Hopefully getting ship-canned by the Browns would introduce Bowe to the concept of humility.

I'm banking on his apparent liking for Andy whom he called Big Red. I'm not proposing bottom of the barrel contract offer, but something way more reasonable than he was getting here.

I hope you are right. He is not a $10 million per year man and never will be, but he is not a veteran minimum guy either. I like your idea and would be excited if it came about on a low-end basis with GENEROUS performance incentives.

you do realize the chiefs would lose all credibility if bowe ended up back in KC... the dead money on bowe alone negates this as a posibility.

I would pass. He was a drive killer by dropping very critical third down passes just at the thought of incidental contact and always looking for a flag. He is not reliable as a go to person. To me his energy and determination got worse each year. His first two years he was alwasy in trouble for running the wrong routes. As far as I am concerned he can retired in Riverside MO and smoke away the money he was given by the Chiefs.

The fact that Dorsey signed Bowe for over 50 million bones makes me wonder what the brass was thinking...

They were thinking that they didn't want to blow things up from day 1. Bowe was the best we had so they kept him until they found better.

When he gets cut--and he will--there will not be much demand for his services. At that point I'd be happy to see him offered a 1 year contract at $1.5 million with incentives that could bring him to $2.75 million. He is not a terrible receiver. He's just LAZY. A "prove it" contract might light a fire under his butt.

He is too much of a liability. We already have plenty of blocking receivers. We need one we can rely on to catch a ball when it is really needed. I would very much rather give Connely a shot at making a play over Bowe.

I was not suggesting at all that we shouldn't give Connely a shot. I was merely responding to a hypothetical question that was posed. I'm not really for or against the idea. The only way I would care one way or the other is if we paid him big money. That would pish me off.

Just hupothetically speaking, shoud we sign him for Vet minimum. Could we defer his dead cap space from his previous contract.

An interesting question that I don't know the answer to. Hopefully someone else will. If that was the case then hiring for cheap might make pretty good sense.

Again...I'd pass on Dwayne Bowe. If he wasn't motivated by a huge contract, why would he be motivated by a small one? If he doesn't make it in Cleveland there'd still be plenty of teams out there willing to offer him a bigger contract.

Right now we need to fix our O-line problems first. Then find out what we have with our current WR's.

according to Andy Reid last year. Bowe excelled at Blocking. Maybe we could convert him to TE.

ABSOLUTELY! First priority. That said, I think we have a team that might could maybe make a run this year if we can get over last week.

Sarcastic respone to fixing the Oline. The only real positive think Andy could say about Bowe was that he was a good blocker.
