That's the only way they can have any Offensive success. Hold and get away with. Over at NFL.com, a Chiefs fan warned Steelers fans about this, prior to this game. I know that the Donkeys O-Line and their DB's are getting away with massive holding.

Where U at BRD?

Pacific Northwest, but I was listening to the game on NFL GamePass. Not any more. The Steelers are going to have to beat the Donkeys and the Refs.

It's all good. Except when the Donkeys are winning like they are doing now. I'm not a Hawks fan, but I was when they lambasted the Donkeys 43-8 in the Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh isn't out of it, but they better get it into gear in the 2nd half.

Chiefs v Seahawks brings me back to the old AFC rivalry days when 58 smothered Kreig for 5 sacks, almost 6. We lost that game, but still a great game. Would love to see both teams in Superbowl this year.

I did go to the Kingdome in Dec. of 1993 to watch Joe Montana leading the Chiefs in that game. Was a 31-16 Chiefs win with Montana and Marcus Allen having great days on Offense, and DT getting a long fumble return for a TD. Glad that I made the trip at that time.

If we do lose to either Cleveland or Oakland - AT HOME, then an argument could be made that we shouldn't even be in the playoffs. And most NFL teams would agree if you don't make the SUPERBOWL, the season is a failure. A playoff game is just another game on the way.

I understand your point but the way I look at it is just different.

When it comes to the playoffs you're going to be in against other good teams. Houston is playing a lot better then when we beat them as are the Steelers. I understand the logic that we would have a better chance against Houston however if we are going to end the season on a happy note we are going to have to beat them at some point.

If we were to win 1 playoff game there would still be a let down losing anther. Only one team ends the season happy. that's how look at it. However a AFC west title in the mean time would feel damn good

Just like last year the Royals getting to before losing the World Series, this year they won it so both seasons were successful. You don't have to win the championship to be successful, sometimes just going where you have not been in decades is a success.

Cincy would have the 5 seed and the tiebreaker over us, the jest would be the sixth seed because their record. I think

As things stand now we hold the tiebreaker over the Jets because of division record.

Absolutely we will win 10 straight 11-5

That concept worries me. Week 17 is the damned Raiders. They could be 0-15 and they would give us a BATTLE! I want a playoff spot locked up before we play the Raiders.

Donkeys are starting to become demoralized and fall apart & it started with the Chiefs beatdown of the Donks in mid-November. That 29-13 win is really starting to loom LARGE. And, before I forget:

HA! HA! Turd Elway and the Donkeys LOST !!

Just so Demps! In that one single game out Chiefs ended Manning's career and might just maybe have ruined the donk's season.

See Connecticut, you're thinking like me. First things first. I want a playoff lock. We would have been close with a Broncos win. But the rest of the folk here can't get over their visceral hatred of the Donkeys and so are convinced that a Steelers win was a good thing. We now have a significantly lower chance of making the playoffs. You guys are taking it for granted that we win out. Its the RAIDERS for crying out loud.

Jersey....You and I are old-timers. Old-timers that haven't been swayed by the rise of the Jackasses. We KNOW DEEP DOWN IN OUR SOUL that ENEMY #1 is the Raiders.

Do I want us to win out and win the division? HELL YES!!!

But I want us to win a playoff game FAR MORE. Even if we win out the donks could win the division.

I'll tell you true...I just want the Chiefs to make the playoffs and right now even 10-6 doesn't guarantee that.

Goal #1.....MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!! Wildcard or AFC West champs....doesn't matter.

Goal #2....WIN A PLAYOFF GAME!!!!

Goal #3....Play good football after that playoff win and see how far we can go. Just my opinion, but I think that if we break the curse after recovering from a 1-5 start then we have a serious shot at the Super Bowl. But the fact remains we first have to make the playoffs and win a playoff game.

So yeah Jersey....I'm with you. But well...maybe...I'd really like to get that first playoff win against the Colts or the Donks.

YES I AM GREEDY!!!!

Thanks Jersey!!! No Dalai Lamma here. I LIKE TO EAT HEARTS!!! And I prefer them when they are warm and still bleeding. Raider hearts taste BEST!!!

But my philosophy is simple....MAKE THE PLAYOFFS....and then it is a whole new season. WIN OR GO HOME. I really like our Chiefs chances if we get a chance at a new season.

Lets remember who RUINED the Patriots unbeaten season. The WILDCARD GIANTS!!!!

Make the playoffs, break the curse and I think we might could maybe go all the way. Don't think for a minute that the players and Reid don't know about the curse. If this Chiefs team can go from 1-5 to breaking the curse I doubt any team can stop them.

I'm with you Jersey. MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!! BREAK THE CURSE!!!!! SKY IS THE LIMIT!!!!

C4L....Seldom do I hate an individual. VERY SELDOM. Raiders and Broncos I hate. Elway and Manning....I hate them because they are Broncos. It's entirely possible that if I got to know them as individuals that I might even like them a bit. But I don't hate them as individuals...I hate them as Broncos.

Here is why I dislike the Donkeys, and in particular, Elway. You will see there is very legit reason for it, and Elway is NOT a true champion, but really is a fraud:

Here is the article that exposed the Donkeys being over the salary cap in 1996--98 found here:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A28969-2004Sep17.html

Notice the statement that tries to claim that the salary cap money that was diverted, was being used to divert funds for a new stadium. That's bullsh!t, and here's the proof:

http://football.ballparks.com/NFL/DenverBroncos/newindex.htm

It is clearly stated in that article:

"On Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, voters in the six-county area that comprises Metro Denver approved a plan to construct a new football stadium in Denver. Construction began on the 76,125-seat stadium in mid-1999 and official groundbreaking was held on August 17, 1999."

The Donkeys signed Howard Griffith, Willie Green, Keith Traylor, Harry Swayne, Neil Smith, Darrien Gordon, and acquired Tony Jones prior to the 1997 season. How could funds be diverted towards building a new stadium in 1997, when the approval of a new stadium didn't happen until Nov 3, 1998, and it's actual construction didn't begin until August of 1999?

So much for Bowlens lie about "diverting funds to build a new stadium" when they got exposed circumventing the cap in 1996 -- 1998.

Donkeys fans are going around repeating this nonsense about "funds being diverted to build a new stadium" as an excuse for the Donkeys circumventing the cap in 1996--98, but the reality is, all Donkeys fans are really telling anyone is that Pat Bowlen p!ssed on their heads and told them it's raining and that these same Donkeys fans want to believe it's raining because it's Pat Bowlen that is doing the urinating.........cut and dried.

Because of SalaryCapgate, we nowadays have to listen to Donkeys fans bragging about their so-called "2 Super Bowl wins", but when you put the evidence seen above in front of them, they can't refute it or answer any of the germane points. They resort to the old proverbial copout of "can't attack the message, so attack the messenger". Also because of SalaryCapgate, we have to listen nowadays to Donkeys fans trying to hype Elway up as being the equivalent of Joe Montana, when in fact, he never was. Elway was a good QB to a point, but as far as the G.O.A.T go, Elway was 2nd tier. And Elway was knowingly and willingly a part of SalaryCapgate ( as was Terrell Davis ) because of his desperation to get a SB trophy or two before he retired. But anybody who knows the truth and saw what transpired in '97 and '98, knows that Elway was being given a going-away present by the league office, that he wasn't good enough to earn in legit fashion on a level playing field, as he had his chances to do that in '86, '87, and '89, and failed miserably each time on the Big Stage. And how many SB's have the Donks won since Elway retired after the '98 season? ZERO.

Trust me, the NFL is better place with Elway completely out of the picture, and all 32 teams being made to play on a level playing field.

Kubiak: "Nothing has changed at QB for Donkeys".

REALITY: Donkeys SUCK regardless of whether it is Manning or Osweiler under Center, so what is Kubiak's point?

True, we don't have to. BUT, given what's gone down in the past with the Donkeys & given that they do it us Chiefs fans, then I figure why not feed their own vibes back to Donkeys fans & watch it build up an overload, as you'd be surprised at how they completely become unglued, while I sit back and laugh at them. Just ask ctchiefsfan and Eydugstr about a Donkeys troll named Marvin H over at Arrowhead Addict.

What does tongue in cheek mean??

Speaking tongue-in-cheek means to speak with irony or perhaps in a kidding around manner.

"If you say something tongue in cheek (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/cheek), you intend (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/intend) it to be understood (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/understand) as a joke (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/joke), although (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/although) you might appear (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/appear) to be serious (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/serious)".
