Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that former Jets WR Jeremy Kerley has lined up his first visit since he became available yesterday with the Chiefs.

It’s worth mentioning that signing to a contract wouldn’t factor into a team’s 2017 compensatory picks.

Kerley, 27, was in the final year of his four-year, $16 million contract that included $5.4 million guaranteed when he was released on Wednesday in a move that cleared $1.3 million cap space for the Jets.

In 2015, Kerley appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and totaled 16 receptions for 152 yards and a touchdown. He also contributed 411 punt return yards.

Good info C4L! That said, Reid is a damned fine coach but I dunno if he is good enough to turn this guy into the #2 WR we need.

I've read they are interested in Kerley more as a Punt/Kickoff returner

If that is the case then he is being looked at as a possible replacement for Knile Davis who is in the last year of his contract.

Looking at some of his stats he did produce a little a few years ago. But seams like he might have a fumbling issue

Haven't seen confirmation yet, but if true he could become (if he can stay healthy) a fine #2 WR. Glad to see the Chiefs making some moves that show a strong desire to WIN NOW! Susppect this is a 1 year year contract heavy on the incentives without much guaranteed money. A good "Prove It" contract.
