We've signed Mitchell Schwartz and I think it fair to say that most if not all of us are fairly pleased about that.

His Brother Geoff (who played for the Chiefs in 2013) did pretty well for us on his 1 year contract (enough so that the Giants offered him a 4 year deal for $16.8 million with $6.2 million guaranteed). He was hurt both in '14 and '15 and saw little playing time for the Giants. The Giants released him this year. He is still unsigned. Largely I suspect due to all the time missed to injury. He also was very supportive of his Brother's move to KC from the Browns. He tweeted about what a great place KC was to play.

I think we can all agree that our O-line could still use some help.

What about giving Geoff Schwartz another chance in KC if he is willing to take another 1 year "prove it" type deal?

Personally, I like the idea. 2 brothers playing on the same team. Both on the 0-Line. Sibling rivalry being what it is, I can see them both competing with each other to be the best and as a result a major improvement on O-line. In addition it's the kind of story the press LOVES! 2 Jewish Brothers reunited together in KC. It's not the return of EB or JC but still would garner a lot of positive media attention. We always complain that we get no respect from the media.

What do y'all think?

Can't see any reason why not, outside of his injury status. He was a good player for us when he was here, and our O-line definitely could use the depth.

Thanks! My feelings exactly. He's been a free agent for a while now. Supposedly with no interest or offers. Bring him to KC. Have the Docs check him out. Give him a workout and if he looks good then offer him a cheap deal. I think we might could maybe land ourselves a highly motivated decent player for next to nothing.

Yes we did. Fisher at least is progressing and actually played some pretty good ball in the last few games last year. If he picks up where he left off last year and improves some more he will turn out to be a pretty decent LT.

Yup...we got the #1 pick overall in the worst draft in years.
