Just a point of order...An AR-15 is NOT a "machine gun" nor is it an "Assault Rifle". A machine gun is a weapon that fires multiple rounds with a single pull of the trigger. An AR-15 does not do that unless it has been illegally altered and if Mr. Gordon's AR-15 had been so altered he'd be sitting in a Federal Prison right now. Further, an assault rifle is defined as a rifle that can switch from semi-automatic fire (1 pull of the trigger, 1 round fired) to either burst fire or fully automatic fire by a simple turn of a switch. AR-15s can not do that unless of course they have been illegally altered. I realize we are talking about the words of a sports reporter not a firearms expert but GEEZ! can't they get simple definitions right?
