yeah i know, this will be shamed because goodness gracious a real chiefs fan could never say this about their own team...but....DAMN...i mean for real...lets look at reality DAMN what a boring offense!

it is a sad thing to see such great tools go to waiste (bowe, sometimes gonzalez)

i mean how many 3 and outs can we have....how many runs on first and second where we are tackled in the backfield. How many 5 yard passes on 3rd and 10 can we see?

@#$#$# I cant stand this style of play. The game was meant for entertainment. Herm does not understand this. He is lucky to be 4-3, could easily be much worse.

Huard can throw down field, I have seen him do it. Herm...i cant wait until you get canned. I long for the day. You are a moron. These are my true feelings. You put me to sleep. Even when I went to Arrhowhead to watch Jaguars...you were SO BORING! You are the worse offensive play caller EVER!!! I know you are the coach, but I know you are the brains behind the stupidity. #$%#$#

we have the talent to score points and hold leads!!!! Now let us score points! You seriously need some of us couch coaches to take over your job because we would all do better!

LEAVE KC! The door is open.

Yes it is a boring offense; that's how Herm Peterson wants it.

Defensive games do tend to be more boring to watch. We have proven that a good defense can be a good offense on more than one occasion this year though. I'm kind of glad to see the difference a good defense can make. I don't think I would have fully understood it without watching us this year.

Just trying to find a posiive for you.

ok obviously i will still watch the games. but i will watch angrily like i have every game this year.

I'm not going to knock you for your opinion...however I will present an opposing opinion, respectfully.

You do have some great tools on the KC offense, LJ, Bowe and Gonzalez were mentioned, but I'd also suggest that Sippio has been underutilized as well as Grigsby as a potential lead back. However part of the reason these players are being underutilized is that Herm is trying to control the ball and the clock to give his defense the time they need on the sideline to continue to succesfully stop the opponent.

As for the 3-and-outs, the Chiefs actually have been better about that the few weeks leading into the bye week...

You mention that the game was meant for entertainment...I'd argue that entertainment is in the eye of the beholder...I like Country music...you probably don't. You might find a Alan Jackson concert boring...I wouldn't. You like offense and scoring...I like defense and hitting.

i can appreciate that you find this style of play "boring"...I'll just suggest that many older NFL fans appreciate the "ball-control" and tough defense...

I am a 49er fan and trust me I know a little bit about winning, but also about losing (check our record the last 5 years)...

I don't think Herm will get canned, as he will continue to deliver 7-10 wins year in and year out. If he can put together an offensive line that can dominate he'll be able to run his playbook and have better success...

In the meantime the "offensive minded" fan will likely find KC football less entertaining...but when he wins 9 or 10 games this year, I think you'll like the end result.

I really think we're watching some players develop. It may make for a "boring" season this year, but just wait. Oh wait, I forgot how impatient people around here tend to be (including me with wanting Croyle to start, but I'm not going there).

Yes, the offense we have is rather boring. I love what our current defense is doing, but would like to be able win, even when the defense struggles. I dislike the very concept of winning with defense, because it is allowing the other team have all of the control. The game is set up so that the offense has the advantages. And if the offense does its job properly, then they will score.

I have to go do some work. I'll be back.

I would like to know when we had a strictly "exciting" offensive team? Even when our defense was less than stellar we got quite a bit of help from special teams (some guy named Dante Hall ring a bell). While we on occasion have great jump up and down and scream kinda plays, KC ball has never been about the excitement of the game. It's been about a solid offense with a better than average defense playing good ball. Or in this year's case, trying to play good ball. I love the exciting offensive plays like anyone else, but you can't win on offense alone. Besides, nothing's better than seeing our defense smack the s_it out of a rival quarterback.

Are you serious...look at the offensive numbers

2003 (369 YPG #2 in the NFL)
2004 (418 YPG #1 in the NFL)
2005 (387 YPG #1 in the NFL)

You like apples???

2003 13-3 2nd in yardage per game, Mostly passing (not to 5 rushing, also not top 5 any Defensive category.) Now can you imagine what we would do with a great D and that O, 2007 Pats - Enough said.

:brutale_smilies010:

can we create a "stupidity post of the month" ?? we could send the winner a Raiders shirt.

Chiefs games could never be boring to me. I love them too much to ever not be excited to watch them play. But our legacy has been that almost every year we are either a good team or a mediocre team. But even in a rare bad year such as 1988 when we only won 4 games, I still found watching their games far more thrilling than any other team. After all, it's the Chiefs! And the Chiefs are always awesome even when they're really not! [I love the Chiefs and, as they say, love is blind. ;) ].

i know how you feel.

you give them chance after chance to make it up to you, and when they fail you still always end up taking them back.

idk if im talking about the chiefs or something else.

yeah i know, this will be shamed because goodness gracious a real chiefs fan could never say this about their own team...but....DAMN...i mean for real...lets look at reality DAMN what a boring offense!

it is a sad thing to see such great tools go to waiste (bowe, sometimes gonzalez)

i mean how many 3 and outs can we have....how many runs on first and second where we are tackled in the backfield.

I would have to disagree. Chiefs' games are anything but boring because they are normally so close. The worst game of the season was the one against Jacksonville. That game was much more of a blow-out than the score would leave one to believe. However, most every other game this season (especially the Chiefs' wins) have been much more intense than watching the Patriots blow everybody out by 30 points-- in my opinion, anyway. Our hard-nosed defense has not only been keeping the Chiefs in games, but it has also been keeping me on the edge of my seat as well. I love it!

GO CHIEFS!!!

Agreed!

That Raiders game was a nail biter!

I knew we wouldn't lose to them, I just didn't know how we would stop them from the field goal at the end...

When Page came up with that int, you should have heard me on ventrilo dude...

I went nutzzzz!!!!

People have gotten used to the DV offense that was all about scoring. TD celebrations are fun, so a lot of people think it's boring since we're not scoring much. I disagree. I have enjoyed the season as well.

To respectfully disagree with this, I feel that the games this year for the Chiefs have been boring. Any team not in the AFC West or AFC that could cost something if the certain team wins, I love close games. I however want the Chiefs to be ahead from the whistle and never have questions about winning the game. I am glad they are winning right now but my heart just cant take it at times, also in the games we have won this year, a couple mistakes and it is a loss. At this point I dont trust this team enough in close games, I would rather see a mistake when leading by 30, and not win it at the buzzer with an int.

Hope tommorrow DBo gets some more looks, and Parker and Wilson get less looks. I would like to know how many times Parker and Wilson have been thrown to this year, What I do know is that DBo isn't getting near the looks as Wilson, and I doubt parker but our top 3 recievers are Gonzo, DBo and LJ in that order.

Gonzo 42 receptions for 506 yards, 12 avg, long 26, 3 TDs

DBo 29 Rec for 499, 17.2 avg, long 58, 3 TDs

LJ 27 Rec for 144, 5.3 avg, long of 15, 0 TDs (receiving only)

Jeff Webb 13 for 161,

Samie Parker 12 for 131,

Kris Wilson 12 for 105,

As many times as Wilson and Droppie Parker have been thrown too they should have more then Gonzo, DBo and LJ, I just don't understand why we continue to use these guys. I hope this is Herms doing and not Huard.

While I would not complain, I would not feel nearly the same level of intensity if we were blowing teams out by 30 points.
