I was wondering if anyone would like to stick up for Huard at this point in the game, (2nd Quarter after the punt block)

ok, i just got home from church...i can't see the game, but know Huard has already thrown a pick. how did we get the safety?

texaschief
11-11-2007, 02:05 PM
also, how's the running game? is it blowing up like some people thought it would? how do Priest and Kolby look?

Safety was on a blocked punt (Pollard) went out of the endzone.

Running game isn't doing so well, need to be on the field longer then 4 plays a series, Huard has had 1 int and 2 or 3 more that could have been int's. Good news is as of right now only behind by one. (Im on tvu and lagged badly.

we are leading by 2 at the half. I think our running game is okay..... cant complain about what priest is doing. Our D is allowing too many open recievers out there though.

that is incorrect, the correct word is "okey" at this point. Priest is getting good yardage. His total doesnt look so good because he made one huge mistake where he ran WAY back in the backfield trying to make something out of nothing. Other than that, he is looking good, not great. Another half to play to see what he can do. I think they need to throw some screen passes to Priest, mix it up with him.

We need to put Brody in. Huard has thrown 3 potential interceptions. One they actually caught.

Huard is starting the second half.

Agreed, my thoughts on this was that the running game isn't fixed by LJ being out and Priest being in.

Another Huard int, this one costs a TD, and Huard doesn't seem to care. Time for Croyle.

This is almost making me sick.

Horrid got sacked and dropped the ball. Seemed to be hurt a little.

Came out to massive crowd boo's and first play fumble.

I'm in TVU and lagged, but it is at commercial and they are reviewing to see if it was a pass.

:bananen_smilies046:

Again, I personally didn't want to see him hurt, I think though that the events, not the injury should cost him his job, hope he isn't hurt to bad.

tammietailgator
11-11-2007, 02:56 PM
I hope he is not hurt - but its time to step back.... I see croyle in the background, passing.

texaschief
11-11-2007, 02:58 PM
So, Huard started the half with a pick and a fumble?

McLovin
11-11-2007, 03:04 PM
Yep and Croyle is in, seems like this might be the end of the line for Huard.

Man Croyle looks good so far, hasn't been in long but he is throwing screens, putting it to Bowe, doing everything Huard wasn't doing. I hope it sticks but nice to see a spark.

Also I believe Croyle may struggle but it is better for Croyle to struggle getting experience then for Huard to struggle into retirement.

texaschief
11-11-2007, 03:06 PM
thanks Bryonc. keep me posted on how he's doing.

McLovin
11-11-2007, 03:06 PM
And now it looks to me like Priest is doing better with Croyle in, that might just be me though, I know they did throw a screen to Priest.

McLovin
11-11-2007, 03:08 PM
Ended up with a field goal, but had to make some plays to get that, much better then a three and out or an int.

I am watching on tvu, texaschief is that an option for you, it is working good today.

11-11-2007, 03:12 PM
i don't know what tvu is...but i've got a mac and everything i've heard so far is that we can't watch games with macs yet. (((sigh)))

why can't we stop the run today?

hmm....the mac has limitations? they sure dont sure those during the mac vs pc commercials!! The one with the nerd being the pc and the "cool dude" being the mac.

This kid Selvin Young looks pretty good, he is making some moves.

Drummond just bobbled a punt and then picked it up and walked out at the 10, that would be a great place for the next substitution.

Your right so far tvu is only a pc application.

McLovin
11-11-2007, 03:23 PM
Huard is sitting alone on the bench, they said it looks like it hurts him to even look at his teammates.

McLovin
11-11-2007, 03:25 PM
Croyle just went downfield (to the endzone) to DBo against Champ Bailey, Bowe had him beat and just missed it. On the third down play Webb missed a catch. Rayner missed a long one. Had the distance but went left.

We still have some time, not looking good, but we will see.
To say after this game we would still be tied is figuring that San Diego loses, they are playing Indy but depends which San Diego team shows up. Also even if tied we would still lose the tie breaker to Denver because they won the head to head, (at Arrowhead).

All in all the bright side is Croyle is in and looking good, he did throw an int but still a hope for a spark.

No Drummond needed replaced before he ever came to KC, shoulda kept Phinisee.

San Diego will lose. We still play Denver and SD again, so you can't really talk about tie breakers. But, Denver just came into Arrowhead and put a spankin on Kansas City.

by the way, anyone notice how horrible those high 1st round picks have been playing in Cleveland and Detroit?

McLovin
11-11-2007, 04:17 PM
The play of the day was a Huard fumble that went to the house.

Anyway, game over Chiefs lost, but on the upside Croyle got in and got some real game time, wasn't great but showed tremendous promise. I got to watch an entire game in TVU and all went well, had to get out of ventrilo though because I was so far behind.

I still think there are a lot of positives that came out of today, that is unless Herm puts Huard back in next week. Next substitution Drummond to inactive.

I thought that Priest looked good today. Drummond sucked, Hope Haurd is done as starting QB. The donks beat us in our house! Not acceptable!

So far in the 1st Quarter San Diego has picked off Peyton Manning 2 times and is winning in Indy 10-0. Go Colts. Man if San Diego wins this we are sunk.
I would almost say that if San Diego wins tonight then the season is over for thinking playoffs.

as long as San Diego loses tonight...which they might, it is 23-21...then the Colts game is not a must-win game.

we can pretty much say, ok we are gonna lose...

...and if we get the win...that is just a HUGE BONUS!!

Well it is getting closer to San Diego Losing, Indy is ahead by 1 with just over a minute to go. And no timeouts by San Diego.

As I was typing this The Colts missed the field goal. Crap San Diego might win after all, although remember the Dallas game.
