The 2018 NFL season has ended. The 2019 season beckons. But before turning the page on the year that was, it’s fair to consider how the league’s 99th season will be remembered. Big Cat and yours truly took up that topic during Friday’s PFT Live. Check out the video (yeah, we’re trying to get paid) [more] Read more… (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/02/08/how-will-you-remember-the-2018-nfl-season/)

A golden opportunity that the Chiefs didn't cash in on, because they weren't ready in the AFCG -- that's how I view it. And it makes me wonder just how long it will be before they get this same opportunity again.

With Mahomes I really believe that we will get more chances at it.

But with Reid's history I still question why I should think it will be any different.

You aren't alone in your doubts about Reid. Especially after seeing this team so unprepared for the AFCG. How many more times are they going to be unprepared for a big game like that?

Honestly the biggest thing il remember is not Mahomes great year but that we were 1 off sides penalty away from the superbowl. And thats all il prolly think of everytime i see ford from now on. You make how many millions and you cant line up om the football? Thats your 1st job on every play.

Same here. A great opportunity squandered by that one play. I wonder if this team will ever recover from it.

The best thing for me in 2018 was not being intimidated, worried or downright terrified of what the next game was bringing, we may not of gone to SB53 but we stood our ground and went down fighting just like a true chief

To me it's the same old thing. Coulda, wooda, shoulda. As Chief's fans we know this drill.

Think the thing about the 2018 season I'll remember the most is that we were competitive in every game we were in. Yes, the Patriots beat us in the AFCCG but they had to go into overtime to do it.

I'll always remember that aspect of the 2018 season as well, as that was THE biggest upside that made the 2018 season the best this team has had since 1969. And brother the number of Chiefs touchdowns that went up on the scoreboard was WAY off the scale beyond what any of us even dreamed about.
