I have three evenings and three days to find places to eat and things to do while I'm there. Any recommendations? I will be staying in Lenexa Thursday and Friday night. Spending Friday doing a little shopping, so some good places to shop might help, too. Greatly appreciate any input.

Gotta go to Gates, Go see the fountains, Crown Center is nice, Oak Park Mall is in that area and I feel the best Mall in KC. If you like history and such Independence has a ton of Truman stuff, great place.

If there is anything specific you want to find let me know, I live in Illinois now but lived in KC and have now went back with my family as a tourist. Also for another meal Fuddruckers on Noland Road is great. Great Hamburgers and you put on your own toppings. Also I am sure (not sure but would bet on it) that they still cruise the miracle mile in Independence also on Noland Road, great times.

I went to eat at Gates when I went up for the home opener. Definitely good stuff! I had already planned on the following:

Friday - Legends in KCKS and The Crown Center (home of the Hallmark World Headquarters). I think I'll try to add Oak Park Mall.

Saturday - I was hoping to get to the art museums, and I've already got plans with a few people to go on the 4pm tour of Boulevard.

Sunday - Going to someone's place to watch the game, and then I'm heading home.

I appreciate the recommendations on places to eat. I'll be staying on the Plaza on Saturday night, so I'm sure I'll try a restaurant down there. I ate at 810 Sports Zone last time. Maybe I'll try Jack Stack's?

I'm just so looking forward to the trip.

Oh, I thought you had come up with some useful recommendations for the Chiefs like, oh say: "Fire Peterson and Edwards!" :yahoo: :D

Looking up addresses to plug into google maps when i get up there. It's getting me so excited about my trip. I'm spending my birthday evening at Old Chicago Pizza and Beer.

hey definitely, go to the legends shopping center. they have way much improved since it first started. its a little quiet but busy place to go. i recommend it, and plus i live down the street from it. and you will probably find some place to eat down there, theyve got all the bbq places like famous daves, arthur bryants, and other nice little joints like cheeseburger in paradise, montana ted, hooters, good places to eat definitely. oh and you might like going to saddle ranch, good brews and they also have the mechanical bull if you wanna have a good ride. lol

and hmmmm downtown, definitely go to crown center and then the plaza... definitely try chicagos uno bar and grill. if you find garozos thats a nice place too.

hmmm you can try zona rosa if your up by I-29 and barry road. its a nice little shopping city kinda like a bigger legends....

just give ya some ideas luv. i know lots bout where i come from. hah
