From Kansas City take I-70 through St Louis, to I-64 E, head South on I-57, and then switch to I-24 South. Take I-75 South down to Atlanta and then start laughing when you see the Georgia Dome and realize there is a team in worse shape than the Chiefs.

And the 49ers too eh, rbedgood? :)

Michael Vick's conviction, the coach stepping down, yes the Falcons are a mess right now. Glad Georgiagirl apparently has her heart in Kansas City!

Ok, Thanks for the welcome......I think that was a welcome. Yes having lived in Georgia all of my life I am true to my home team and do follow the Falcons. The Chiefs are still my true love and always will be. I will stick by both through the good years and the bad years and pray the bad ones don't last too long.
Falcons are in a mess right now, I say bring back Jerry Glanville, at least he made the games fun to watch.

Glad the Chiefs are your true love! And the Falcons are fine as a side team since they are in the NFC and have only beaten us once in their 41 year existence! :)

Welcome!

True, that was a good thing back when you didn't play against the different conferences. Then they went and messes that up.
I went to a Chiefs-Falcons game in Atlant a few years back and had to wear a Chiefs hat and Falcons shirt and got a few strange stares. Montana was the QB so that was good to get to see him play in person.

And good to get to see the Chiefs WIN! Just like when I saw the Chiefs here in '98 (about the only time the Chiefs were ever in Philadelphia. I'm hoping the '09 game will finally be here again) and they won! I boldly cheered them on despite being in the dangerous 700 level.

I have an aunt and uncle and 2 cousins who are long time Atlanta residents. And they like all the Atlanta teams. I went to Braves games before with them but never Falcons (probably because we always visited Atlanta in the summer, not fall).

Yes, i live a couple hours outside of Atlanta but have always backed our teams. Lots of "down" years for all of our sports teams, but we get in there every now and then. I disspise those fans that only jump on the bandwagon during a winning season. I have seen some REALLY bad playing in all sports, but i still go and try to support the players.

Hey Georgiagirl, you've got a cool Chiefs connection with cornerback Emmitt Thomas (career 58 interceptions leader) now the interim head coach as the Falcons. He's been one of their defensive coaches but pretty cool he's now at the helm.

I heard that today. Sounds like he isn't too interested in taking it full time though but who knows. I think the way Petrino ducked out was way out of line.

Just so you know this was about Glanville because he always wore black...

Glanville was pretty entertaining; as coach, announcer, and analyst. Nutty but entertaining!

Nutty is ok in my book as long as they are fun and winning. I loved his defense. The "GRITS BLITZ" was very entertaining.

Interestingly, Glanville's career record is similar to Herm Edwards:

Jerry 60-69; Herm 52-57
playoffs: Jerry 3-4; Herm 2-4
winning seasons: both 4
winning records in those seasons: Jerry 10-6, 10-6, 9-6, 9-7. Herm 10-6, 10-6, 9-7, 9-7.

I thought a prior coach of the Houston Oilers to Jerry Glanville was also fun: Bum Phillips!
