I can't remember doing that yet this season...

And good thing Clemens is in the game instead of Chad. And also so that Chad won't play good and enitce the Chiefs to take him next year. :)

12-30-2007, 04:37 PM
Jackie Battle is in the game for Kolby.

He gets 2 yards.

Let's see what this kid can do!!!!

Kolby is carted off of the field.

Brodie throws a terrible pass to TG...

Sigh...

12-30-2007, 04:39 PM
Wow, our O line looks like crap...

I wonder why?

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:40 PM
Could this be the only scoreless game of the season?

We could tie 0-0 after O.T.!

That would be awesome!!!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:42 PM
Our run D still sucks...

Man I figured Herm would have been working on these problems all season and been able to change things for the better by the last game of the year.

I guess my confidence in Herm was misplaced!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:44 PM
Naw, I predict someone will kick a field goal at some point, heh

Yeah NY is just about within range...

Well they get a false start to take them out of range...

0-0 is still possible!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:44 PM
Sack JA!!!!!

Now they can't get a FG!!!

Can JA end the season with the most sacks in the NFL???

GO CHIEFS!!!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:45 PM
OK.

Chiefs high powered offense will start on our own 2 yard line...

Any bets on where we punt from this time?

IlovetheChiefs
12-30-2007, 04:46 PM
This game comes down to who out punts who. Shucks we're at our own 2.

jerhart
12-30-2007, 04:46 PM
I will say we punt from the 9 yard line

IlovetheChiefs

Finally!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:49 PM
And TG drops the ball????

There goes our first down...

I think we are punting from the 6 or 7 yard line..

I guess there was no way to make it to the 9!

jerhart
12-30-2007, 04:49 PM

Heh, still would have been cool to see my Chiefs live again, despite the awful weather, the awful gameplay, etc. :)

jerhart
12-30-2007, 04:51 PM
eh...I just looked at our mean yards per drive, which is 7

hermhater
12-30-2007, 04:52 PM

OK 1 quarter down...

Let's see if we can tie this thing 0-0!

IlovetheChiefs
12-30-2007, 04:53 PM

What will he do?

He had a seam, but once again refused to run through it.

At least he was able to get more yards than any other return I can remember this year!

Way to come on strong for the final game man!

hermhater
12-30-2007, 05:03 PM
We get our first 1st down because of roughing the kicker...

How did I know that would happen?

If we keep punting we can get a few more 1st downs!

IlovetheChiefs
12-30-2007, 05:06 PM

When Herm continually calls for running it up the middle with our O line and a small back, what do you expect?

You're blind if you think Herm is not responsible for all the injuries this year, as well as when he was in NY.

no, i just know more about football than you do.

I never said Herm was a miracle worker. It usually takes 4 or 5 seasons to build a winning team. We're in year 2. And this horrible season rests in Carl's hands. Peterson is the only reason Huard was the starter this season.

Herm is the exact same coach as Lovie Smith, Tony Dungee, and Bill Cowher. Defense first. Offense is secondary. The mere fact that you think offense wins championships makes me not want to take anything you say seriously.

This team has tons of talent. Not New England, but plenty enough to beat a 3 and 12 team.... but not with this f'n coach. What a joke. Can't even get a first down for gawd's sake. I won't question how much you know about football, but you don't seem to know much about coaching. Every decision this man has made in the past 2 years has been a disaster. EVERY ONE! He chose to build a defense and let a top 5 offensive go down the tubes. Well, now we have a 30th ranked offense and still have an awful defense. Oh, and special teams blow too. How do you explain all that? He's made this team believe they can't win. By his own words he doesn't believe they can win. and when you don't believe it, it won't happen. He's awful, He was awful before he came, and now we're the worse for it....

The offense was old when he got here. The problem with the offensive line lies at Carl Peterson's feet. He should've been drafting linemen well before this past draft. The defense isn't #32 like it was when Vermeil was here. The OC has no experience and OL coaches generally don't make good OCs. That lies at CP also.

If this team was so great before Herm got here, why do you think Dick left? He knew rebuilding was knocking at the door...as did Willie Roaf, as did Will Shields. You think this offensive decline was unexpected? get real.

Picking Solari to run the offense was all HERM! Because he had total control. If Herm's not good enough to pick his own coaches, then how is he an NFL Head coach? Yes the OL was getting old, but that's not enough to drop this far, no way. He's also had 2 years to find or build a kicker, what happened there. And if youth is the issue, then how do you explain his secondary? NO, Carl can take a lot of blame, but Herm was no good in NY, and he's no better here. SUB 500 everywhere he's been. And a 20th ranked D is not much better than a 30th ranked D. Tell me one thing this guy has done right?

You get real.

I guess the team with the better defense won last years big game too eh?

How are those Bears doing this year with that great D?

Yup, they're not nearly as good as they've been given credit for.. and before anyone says it, no, it's not entirely because the offense can't stay on the field.

Edit: Hali keeps us in the game though, with that great tackle.

how do you "build a kicker?" lol

That kicker we took in the 5th was out of UCLA....who do you really think drafted that kicker? lmao

And yes....an old OL will drop off sharply.

1 Miami
2. Looks like STL (if they lose then 3 win season. and they are losing.)

4 win teams
NYJ
KC
OAK
ATL

Jets would have the head to head against us
We split with Oakland
So KC Could get a 3, 4, or 5 potential pick.

We had more offensive possessions in that game, but they had the better defense. All they needed was one stop and they got it. While the Chiefs didn't force one punt or turnover. The Chiefs were ranked #1 in offense that season and still lost. Your point has been disproven.

You have to score more points than the other team!

Indy scored more points than us!

I will not argue the point that with the worst D in the league you will not win many games, but you won't win many with the worst offense either!

You are not going to be rational, Herm, so I am done arguing with you!

Good talk we had though!

Kansas City had THE BEST offense in the league in 2003. Apparently, we didn't even need a defense on the field that season. The Colts were ranked #3 in the league. KC had more offensive possessions in that game than the Colts did.

OBVIOUSLY we had the better offense that season...why did we lose? Was it because our defense was ranked 31 and the Colts were in the 20s somewhere? I think it was.

Are you telling me that if our defense was in the middle of the pack somewhere we still would've lost that game?

All the Chiefs needed was one defensive stop. They didn't get it. You can't ask much more from your offense than being #1 in the league.

You can't have your cake and eat it too there hater. You can't blame the Chiefs offense for that loss when they were ranked #1 in the league and scored more than 30 while the defense didn't stop the Colts once and gave up 38.

wait....was 2003 "yesterday's NFL?"

It seems to be working just fine for the Pats!

The Patriots? Really? Peyton Manning and the Patriots...the two statistical anomalies are your fallback arguements? nice.

btw...the Patriots beat Peyton with a MUCH worse offense than what the Chiefs had that year.....ahem

Colts 14, Pats 24.....that was a horrible Colt offense though. The Patriots don't know how to play defense.

I don't know what rank the Patriots had on offense in 03, but this year they're #1. Their defense is in the top 5 however, but it's not as good as people say it is. The Patriots offense make it look better than it really is. The Giants and a couple of other teams have proved that to me, but the Patriot offense is just that good, so they're 16-0.
