This has been one of the best days to watch non-Chiefs football in recent memory.

They just showed the game summary.

No field goal attempts.

1 incomplete pass.

4 TD's.

And this is through almost 2 full quarters.

Just amazing.

Yes amazing isnt it that Favre recaptured that level ten years later. And the Pack beat the Pats in that SB who had beaten Jax in the playoffs so maybe it will be the Pack who finally stop that train!

Yes I would much rather the Colts than the Bolts. I never liked rooting for AFC West teams (besides the Chiefs of course!)

The '72 Dolphins are way better than the Patriots. The '72 Patriots that is. They beat them 52-0 that year!

But only two of the Dolphins 14 regular season wins that year were against teams with a winning record (The Chiefs were one of them!). Of course Miami did go on to win three post season games. But I think the Pats of '07 would be the superior team.

I think, interestingly, people have even long said that despite Miami going perfect in '72, they think some of the other 70's teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl teams were better (not record wise of course. but probably better at least on paper).

And he oughta be the best judge of that of all people. And I can see how that could be the case. They had a tougher schedule in '73 and beat Dallas and Pittsburgh. And the three post season wins in '73 were all by convincing 17 or 18 point margins, whereas in '72 they were all one score victories.

There's actually probably a lot of other Super Bowl teams that are better than the '72 Dolphins, ironical as that sounds. For instance, take the '84 Niners who only had one regular season screw up to the Steelers. I think that incredible 18-1 team beats the '72 phins. And the 18-1 '85 Bears (Miami being the only screw up of all teams!) with that amazing defense would have taken Bob Griese's squad too I think. Probably also the next season's '86 Giants too. And the 2000 Ravens. Those defenses were just so dominating.

Edit: Oops I mean '69 Chiefs. The Super Bowl was won in January 1970 but the team was the '69 Cheifs of course. :)
