Absolutely the best monster movie i've ever seen.

J.J. Abrams wanted to create an origanl monster than NY could call it's own and delivered BIG TIME....can't wait for the OBVIOUS sequel.....

and yes, i did go see it at midnight lastnight.

Can't you find some teenage girl around your parts?

Probably, but if I pay a babysitter, I won't be able to afford to go to the movie.

Well do what I'm gonna do and wait for the DVD!

Netflix is only 4.99 a month, and you don't even have to leave the house!

definitely a movie that needs a big screen and surround sound....IMAX or theatre would be best, but if not, make sure you have the required equipment. lol

Prough, head over to Phoenix in your cart and buggy, and by the time you get here the DVD will be out...I'll order it on Blockbuster.com and you can watch on my HD set-up...

I was just bashing on Herm (in case you couldn't tell, texaschief, I like to do that)!

Well I'm gonna rent it when it comes out, so don't tell me the ending.

I went this morning, and I thought it was awesome!!!! It wasn't a three hour epic. In fact, only 90 minutes. But I had a great time, and I agree that missing it at the theatre would be a mistake. (If you don't mind the premise of the movie.)

I may be going to see it again tonight. I don't think that I can allow myself not to share this with my kids.

the end definitely sets up more installments.

I'm excited now that NY has it's own monster. It by far kicks the crap out of any other monster out there.

Can't find a copy that wasn't recorded with a cam corder in the theater and those usually suck!

the ending does lack substance....but i thought it was great!! of course, i didn't watch it on a camcorder video without surround and a 3 story screen either. so, i'm sure that DID suck. btw, i'm not the only one who loves it. it's getting rave reviews all over the country from critics.

this monster has the potential to be bad ***....all depends on what they do with it from here on out.

I'm sure the special effects were more than awesome in the theater.

Blair Witch is my GF's favorite movie, I just don't get it.

I do see now how J.J. got away with only spending 30million on the movie though, and I'm sure it's made much more than that at the box office.

i think the next installment would be great if it was filmed by "mobile crews" like you see in reality tv. That way, you keep the premise of "experiencing the monster" while making it easier to follow and calming down the view a little.

But you could have one movie with "military crews" following the generals and military, a movie from a civilian point of view, a movie from a "lost crew" somewhere in the city.

There is just SO much that can be done with this movie/saga.

Yeah that would have helped immensely.

I don't want to give too much of the movie away, but there were other things that pissed me off about it too.

I can't mention them really without letting some of the details known.

I LOVE monster movies but I just don't see this as a monster movie.

it can't be like all the others. then it's just another monster movie. I thought this was inovative. a completely original monster with an original story line and original POV. I love that nothing was answered!

Watching video someone shoots without the skill to record something is just sickening to me!

So then you hate any kind of real video clips that people catch, like AFHV (Americas Funniest Home Videos)?

Have you ever done a search on youtube, for fights? There are some really good ones. But they are all recrded with a camcorder. :D

AFV is in my top 2 favorite TV shows to watch, and I watch a lot of fights (not on You Tube though).

But an entire movie?

That just screams of low budget!
