Looking at the new offensive staff, am i the only one who thinks there could be a bunch of head butting going on?

The talk is, Eric Price, the same UTEP OC that interviewed for the Chiefs OC spot, is considering a position as the Chiefs WR coach. If he were to be hired, Price would join Modkins and Gailey as offensive coaches on this team who have had previous experience as an OC. The possibility of Solari returning in some capacity still exists as well.

My hope is that Herm is will be handing over the offense to these 3 while he and Gunther keep pluggin away on that defense.

It's true.

Can't remember where I read it, but it was stated that he will probably remain with the team.

The Hunts are a pretty loyal family.

They should keep him on. He was a good coach, just not a great coordinator.

I don't think he was ever given any chance as an offensive coordinator.

Sure he was...one year.

You must be talking about the year that we gave him "I-65" to protect Damon Huards blind side?

Solari was hamstrung by Herm's RRPP offensive philosophy.

Remember Herm said punting is not a bad thing!

Here's how I saw it. If he called the plays himself, he wasn't very imaginative and we don't need him. If he called all the plays Herm told him to, he didn't have the nads to stand up to Herm and, again, we don't need him.

And the way I see it is that with the offensive line problems that he was awarded, combined with the fact that Trent Green was lost through most of his first season, how high could anyone set the ar to measure his accomplishments as an OC?

Trent Green wasn't here at all last year. (I forgot he'd been OC for two years) Solari could have called some gadget plays or done something to try to fool the defense, but I never saw any of that from him. If I would have seen any plays where I thought he was really trying to fool the defense, I'd be all for keeping him.

exactly. I've already been down this road. But a rookie QB behind an inept offensive line, equals a lot of running.

And if you are unable to run the ball, as the Chiefs were, then what?

Probably late but there are no options without an O line!!!!

No running, no passing just a bunch of injured Offensive players!!!

That is the way Herm likes it!

Just mocking Canada!

He seems to think the team up in Buffalo is evil.

It probably has something to do with his parrot!

I'm sure Solari is as happy to be gone from under Herm, as Herm is to see him go.

Yeah, you're probably right! Herm should let Callahan handle the offense and work with Gunther on the defense. He seems better suited for that side of the ball. :D
