Former Miami Dolphins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=mia) head coach Cam Cameron, dismissed after winning only one game in his only season with the club, has reached an agreement in principle to join the Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=bal)' staff.

There remain some details to be addressed in Cameron's contract, a source close to the negotiations told ESPN.com on Wednesday morning, but there are no significant sticking points and the deal almost certainly will be finalized at some point later in the day.
Cameron, is expected to serve as offensive coordinator or assistant head coach under new Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who on Saturday was introduced as the successor to Brian Billick.
Harbaugh was on the staff at Indiana in 1997, when Cameron was the Hoosiers' head coach and the two men have maintained a close relationship in ensuing years.
The addition of Cameron is the first major hire by Harbaugh, who may attempt to retain Rex Ryan as his defensive coordinator. Ryan has interviewed for three head coach vacancies, but it appears he will not land any of them, and he technically remains under contract to the Ravens.
Before his one season as the Dolphins' head coach, Cameron, 46, was the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=sdg) for five seasons (2002-2006). He also served as the Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was)' quarterbacks coach 1994-96, before taking the Indiana job in 1997.

Chief31 you ripped me about a month ago in our conversation about "winning and losing" and how its a mindset. But you would have supported a guy that was 1-15 last year as a head coach??? Sounds a little fishy

Oh, I didn't realize that by bringing in an OC, they had to bring their entire staff and roster with them. When did that rule go into effect?

Well, then hopefully Ronnie Brown will be ready for the start of next season. :D

The discussion we had about losing atmosphere was clearly in regards to a team, not the individuals.

But you knew that when you submitted this reply.

I'm gonna play along though, just because you seem to be requesting a game...

A.) We already have to overcome a losing atmosphere, because we finished with a nine game losing streak.

B.) A losing atmosphere is not impossible to overcome, just very difficult.

C.) If the indiviual could bring an entire teams losing atmosphere from one team to another, then wouldn't he need to bring it to the top, in order for it to have any effect?

Cam lost 15 games as the head coach of the Dolphins. It is my opinion that one of the quickest, easiest ways to break out of that, would be with a change of scenary, and maybe getting demoted to a different set of duties.

I wonder how effective Parcells is gonna be there in Miami.

He is pretty good at getting talent, and without him roaming the sidelines yelling at everyone their morale should be pretty high.

It will still take them a couple of years rebuilding I would guess.

I heard rumors last year about Taylor retiring, wonder if he's gonna be back again next year.

You know Parcells stamp is going to be all over that team, even though he's not roaming the sidelines:AA: (Parcells roaming the sidelines)
