I guess you are rooting for the Giants, eh?

Not a big fan of either, but big games such as these, I'd rather see the underdog win. That and I'm sick to death of hearing about the Pats.

Nice kick.

This might just be a defensive game...

I was thinking a blowout by the Pats.

Fumble Giants!!

Dang they got it back..

hermhater
02-03-2008, 07:28 PM
Another set of 3 and outs.

This is stacking up to be a low scoring game!

PawnshopMarimba

Ugly indeed.

I get the feeling Eli's just going to get worse and worse. The defense can only hold out NE so long.

This is as good, or better than Prince last year.

PawnshopMarimba

Have some soul, brotha! Prince's stuff can be pretty hit or miss, but the man is an amazing guitarist (and a fellow lefty), and I thoroughly enjoyed his set.

Good choice this year too, glad they're staying away from the teeny-bop pop artists.

REALLY questionable call going for it on 4th and 13 in field goal range.

How in the HELL did Manning get away from that sack!?!

The guy who caught the pass had the ball hit the ground while it was still in his hands, and before it was a reception.

The Giants shouldn't have gotten that completeion.

I'm certain that amyone else would have gone back to the sidelines, to wait for a kneel-down and then go meet with your humility a second time.

I don't have a problem with a guy being upset at the most emotional time that the NFL has to offer.

I would think so, two td passes, the game winner, and some incredible plays like amazingly evading that sack, then firing it in the air for a 20 yard gain and first down.

Agreed and this is fuel for the fire that Defense wins Championships. The D Won this game.

But they said early in the game that if the Giants won it then they would give Eli the MVP just because of who he is.

I would have to say that for the moment I am a Giants fan and have been since they made it to the Super Bowl against the Pats, as of tomorrow though I am no longer a Giants fan.

Billicheat has never been a good sport about anything, he could win another 15 Super Bowls and I still would have no respect for him.

Lovin seeing that the Patriots didn't get the dynasty thing though I really thought that it was the Niners with Montana.

It's a tough thing with Super Bowl mvps cuz it's obviously such a team effort. The defensive line did an outstanding job pressuring and sacking Brady. The secondary did a great job in coverage, especially those last 2 bombs from Brady. Eli had some great drives for the Giants and 2 key td passes. The running backs got some key first downs, like on the crucial 4th and 1.

For sure. They played well on all cylanders. The o line gave Eli a lot of time quite a bit. The kicker made his field goal and extra points (sure, they were ones he should make but they were also extremely important in a tight game. As I said, this was a TEAM effort and contribution all the way). And the punter did a good job of putting the Patsies back to their ten yard line several times.

In fact, I think if the season goes better, and the seasons after that.... JA would want to retire a Chief

How well did the Pats D do in week 17 against the Giants?

It was a different day with the same players on the field.

I didn't know the Pats O-line was that bad, to get sacked 4 times, that's really something. Or was it more? I know it was at least 4.

I gotta agree with Hillbilly, the defense was the primary factor in the Giants victory, very impressive.

They didn't just rely on the defense though, unlike the Chiefs, their offense came through when it needed to and won the game. I hope HERM took notes! (the caps was for you HH!):bananen_smilies046:

Please don't tell me you don't think D won this game!!! Although I thought the game was fairly boring, it was mostly played between the 20's. That normally means defense is dominating the game or the offense is sputtering.

Not disagreeing that the Giants O line played well and that Eli was ok but he threw for like 255 yds! Hardly an offensive juggernaught!!

chief31
02-04-2008, 09:57 AM
I would think so, two td passes, the game winner, and some incredible plays like amazingly evading that sack, then firing it in the air for a 20 yard gain and first down.

He did play a good game. But obviously, the defensive line won this game for the Giants. I thought they were going to call Eli "In the grasp" on that play.

So those guys who DID stay on the sidelines weren't upset? C'mon. There's nothing wrong with being upset, but there's no reason you can't suck it up, humble yourself, and be a good sport.

Twice? I don't remember ever seeing anyone else do that twice after a Super Bowl loss.

Billicheat has never been a good sport about anything, he could win another 15 Super Bowls and I still would have no respect for him.

Lovin seeing that the Patriots didn't get the dynasty thing though I really thought that it was the Niners with Montana.

Like them or not, the Pats are still the dynasty. (Steel Curtain of the seventies.) :D

And as normal he was pouting and wasn't talking, he is suppose to be the face of the franchise and instead he is a cheating little crybaby that the Refs didn't give this game to and he was mad about it.

The refs did help a bit. But certainly not when it really mattered.

Yes Yes Yes! And even though I don't like the Giants, I'm so glad it was them that beat this stupid New England team instead of the Dallas Cowgirls and totally obnoxious (TO)!

Agreed.

Roger, roger this team was BALANCED!:D

Balanced at average for the season, they just got things going at all the right times. Alot like last years Colts.

Brady And Moss To Skip Pro Bowl

NEW YORK (WBZ) ― Tom Brady and Randy Moss are not going to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson will replace Brady and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson will play in place of Moss, the NFL announced Monday.

The AFC-NFC Game will be played next Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in Honolulu.

Brady, sacked five times by the New York Giants and pounded throughout Sunday's Super Bowl, has been bothered by a tender ankle. In a release, the Browns did not provide a reason for Anderson replacing Brady.

It's not clear why Moss is not going.

The Patriots had no comment on either player.

Ha ha, what a couple of babies! I'm so glad they lost.

Man I got to put in a tape of a past Chiefs game or the Chiefs history dvds, I crave CHIEFS football! Too many games lately (all through the post season) that are NON Chiefs.
The Pro Bowl is on Fox at 5pm Sunday, I think. Go Jared and Tony! AFC is a 3 point favorite!

Yes. They have done four of them now. They are good for a laugh, but alot of their jokes will be too infantile for most adults. Me, however, I love all four of the "Scary Movie"s.
