It would be interesting I do agree, but I think we need to concentrate on the O-line.

We could talk all day about who would be cool to be on this team and all but we need to get real about our needs. We all know what we need and that is o-line so not sure why we keep wasting our time with such useless trivia. we could get the best of the best and if we have no line then screw throwing to anybody. With the cast we have on offense other than the O-line I am happy with and think we dont need to add anybody. We have a good future in Croyle if we can protect him. Ok maybe a WR in the draft about 4th round someone with afterburners cause Croyle can unload to any part of the field.

Agreed the O-line should be our top priority, but wild eyed, hair brained speculation is just one of the many things that keep our BB going, so I really don't view it as a waste of time.

I don't know. If he shoved a reporter, then that would definitely be a negative. But did he shove someone, or did a member of the press crowd someones personal space and flop upon contact?

Neither seems any more likely than the other to me. But maybe we will get some video evidence from this.

A couple of Eagle fans at work today happened to bring up Chad Johnson and that the Eagles might get him. Remembering this thread I said, "Or maybe the Chiefs wiill get him and that would be a nice combo of him, Bowe, and Gonzales." :)

Why would a ball hungry WR come to a Hermie Run,Run, Pass, Punt offense? The only reason that I can think of is money. Do we really think that Carl would spend that kind of money on Chad Johnson? The Cap money we have needs to be used to sign our drafted players, resign Jared Allen, and pick up at least 1 starting O-lineman.

Wouldn't it be funny if we ignored the O line and gave up all our draft picks to get McNabb and Johnson?

as much as a lot of people hate chad johnson i personally wouldnt mind getting him. i mean get all the necessary players first, and who knows if we have enough money, id say get him. we need all the offensive power we can get. d-bo and ocho cinco would be a nice 1-2 punch. besides, im tired of seein old man kennison bring his wheelchair out onto the field...

Chad may be a little ****y but I don't think he's obnoxious (like Terrell Owens is). He and the Bengals were fun to watch in '05 and '06 ('07 was a let down for Cincy [as well as for us]).

Yet....TO was quiet early in his career too.

True, his major troublemaking occurred once he became an Eagle. But he still had a lot of infighting with Jeff Garcia and other 49er players and coaches. And then there was that sitting on the Cowboys star in 2000.

Chad has some interesting and ostentatious td celebrations, like pretending he's golfing, but he's not brazen like TO. And as far as I know, he gets along with his teammates. (But of course the Bengals have a lot of problems with players getting in trouble with the law, thus being coined the Cincinnati Bandits in the past couple of years!).

But yeah, maybe in time (as well as a new team and bigger $ contract) Chad's head will grow bigger too, and thus start being more like Moss or Owens in behavior.

Does everyone think we should not do anything at any other position until after the O line is fixed? We all know it is a problem, but if we are fixing it through the draft like most are saying, then when do we adress some the other issues we have? I get that the O line needs to be fixed but so do other spots.

Of course not.

If there is a way to bring in talent, (like Jared Allen) without intefering with getting the lineand Cornerback situations, then who wouldn't want to see some extra talent coming over?

Actually, I would put keeping Allen here a top priority too. But certainly wouldn't be against some major additions.

I just don't think Mcnabb would be healthy for long, with a new offense and a toung line. And Chad Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald would be great too, if they don't cost us starters on the line.

Sorry, I did not mean "everyone" literally. I am just bored of talkin O line cause it is pretty much been discussed to death, we all agree that it needs a lot of work but any time the topic or another player pops up there is someone saying a QB wont work out here, no point in getting a WR, until we get our O line fixed. I am just saying we have several needs, O line is #1 but not the only thing. That is all.

As far as Johnson or Fitzgerald, I would rather have Fitzgerald. I am not a fan of Johnson in any way. No doubt that they would both be an upgrade at the WR position (opposite DBowe) but I think Bowe would mature and learn more from playing with a guy like Fitz than Johnson. I see too much immaturity on CJ's part and to me he is TO #2 waiting to happen. Maybe I am wrong, but that is my 2...did you guys know that there is no symbol for cents on my keyboard...the is a dollar sign $ but nothin for cents. For me, it's just a matter of believing that bringing in some high-priced name may cost in the o-line building.

Also, I think that the o-line is three positions of need.

Yes, we got Chad Johnson. Just not the one you were hoping for.

Johnson (5-9, 194) entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Minnesota in 2007. He attended training camp with the Vikings, but was released prior to the start of the regular season and assigned to the practice squad. He spent seven weeks on Minnesota’s practice squad and joined the N.Y. Giants developmental team for one postseason contest in 2007. Johnson spent his first two collegiate campaigns at Texas Tech before transferring to Northwestern State (LA). He did not see action with Northwestern State, but appeared in 18 contests at Texas Tech. He recorded 70 tackles and three INTs for the Red Raiders and was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team following the 2003 campaign. Johnson prepped at Evangel High School in Shreveport, Louisiana.
