How about beer and doughnuts? Heh, when I was about 17 or 18 this guy said beer and doughnuts are great together. But several people I brought that up to said, "Ewwww!" I thought maybe that guy was just kidding but he sure sounded serious.

And in your list of what is good with beer, I notice that there is no other sweets either like cookies, pie, etc. That makes sense. I mean, I don't know why doughnuts or other sweets would go well with beer. Two very different tastes there. Although you did say chocolate goes well with beer, heh!

Funny though, I live in the donut capital of the world. There are more donut stores in my hometown per person than anywhere on the planet!! Needless to say there are a lot of overweight people. :D
