"Two other notable changes from my last mock draft deal with the emergence of Virginia offensive lineman Branden Albert and Boston College QB Matt Ryan (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=146254).

Albert was a guard at Virginia, but he did play two games at left tackle. His individual workouts have been phenomenal and Albert has convinced teams he can play left tackle in the NFL. I have him going No. 5 to the Chiefs, and they aren't going to draft him that high to play guard.

this would be a worse mistake than taking Clady. He's projected as a mid first rounder, and he wants us to take him 5? No freakin way.

That sounds somewhat promising if this is, in fact, the choice we make.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. I like Albert a lot but it would be a reach based on scout's rankings. Clady would also be a wiser pick if we picked OL there because he played OT his whole college career.

I would have to say it would be good to have a guy like Albert on the team if he is able to play both OG an OT positions.

I also disagree that taking Clady would be a mistake. In some scout's opinions, he's closed the gap between him and Long. I wouldn't mind if we took him at # 5.

I agree. Heck, he might even still be on the board for the Chiefs 2nd pick.

Kiper has lost his mind. J. Long, while probably the best OT in the draft, is probably the 6th or 7th best athlete in the draft and he has him going #1 to the Dolphins. Then, he's got us taking this guy? I think we take a DT or Gholston before we take Albert.

I don't think we'll take Gholston unless CP trades JA. I don't think that will happen but I have heard your opinion on that subject.

I agree we would probably take Dorsey or Ellis over Albert.

For #5 money, might as well get the QB. I sure don't want to fork out that kind of money to a lineman. The real solution is to trade down.

So you're in the draft argument now Guru?

I don't think we will take Ryan but Herm is unpredictable (unless he is calling plays)!

If we are not taking the QB there is no reason to be at #5. QBs are the only ones technically worth the early round one money.

I am almost certain we will trade down if Herm doesn't want Ryan.
