I thought it was gonna be pretty cheesy when I heard the theme from "Blazing Saddles" but he tied it in pretty good.
Is this guy a film editing student or something like that?

He's a beat writer for WPI, but is pretty talented at editing vids.

I don't think I have a career in the editing industry. I find the programs (Adobe Premiere and Avid) too complicated.

Nice, although I didn't care for the soundtrack either. Death Metal might have fitted well(even if he was wearing a cowboy hat).

Camtasia Studio. It's a bit limited but if I need to do something more creative, I just put it together in Virtualdubmod. For instance, the bits with the text that flies in and out were done with a Virtualdubmod filter.

I've used VirtualDub before, but I don't know what the difference is between that and Virtualdubmod.
Camtasia is cool.

Vdub isn't really a full featured video editor. It doesn't have a timeline. It's more for doctoring a single clip than anything else.
Like if I wanted to do that red fade in effect I have in the JA video, I'd take the clip I want it on, put it in virtualdubmod, and apply the filter. Then I'd save that file as a new AVI, and put that onto the timeline in camtasia.
