Let's have some fun.

We've got 32 teams. Each of these teams needs to pick a player from ANY football movie ever made. We'll use the 2008 NFL draft order.

Feel free to take a team, make a pick and give an explanation why that team chooses said player.

I saw this on some site. I thought it would be fun to see what "The Crowd" would do. It's all for fun.

I'll start:

With the #1 selection in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select:

Charles Jefferson. DE (Fast Times at Ridgemont High)

Bill Parcells has drafted a DE in the first round more times than not in his previous drafts. He's now responsible for rebuilding the Miami Dolphins and will try to bring in the next Jason Taylor to build his defense around. There is major risk in this drafting this player because it's rumored that Jefferson is expected to be the "Last King of Scotland."

With #2, St Louis selects: Earl Wilkinson, DE from The Replacements

St Louis could use another pass rush threat to take pressure off of Carriker. Earl Wilkinson's character comes into play though considering he was released from jail to enter the draft.

Also, if it's ok to go out of order, The Cincinnati Bengals select Reggie 'Reg' Dunlop, C/Coach from the Charlestown Chiefs(Slapshot) with the # 9 pick. I know Reg is a Center on a hockey team but he provides much needed leadership to the Bengals. He's also not afraid to take an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for his teammates. :D

With the #4 pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select Lucy Draper-K (Necessary Roughness).

http://www.tiricosuave.com/images/draft_lucy.jpg

Sebastian Janikowski is getting old and inconsistent. This and the fact that Al Davis has lost his freakin mind and blown all his cap space, the only position he can afford is to draft a kicker and sign him/her to a 15 year contract at a grand total of $6 million. Plus, if sign a young, hot white woman for all his multi-million dollar players to play with, they won't have any law suits coming their way considering Draper will be under contract and making herself available to all "teammates" will surely be in her contract somewhere hidden deep on page 417 of 939.

With the #5 pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select, Forrest Gump. KR

The Chiefs desperately need OLine help, but Billy Bob (Varsity Blues) seems to be a reach at this point. Gump, not quite the brightest guy in this draft, has amazing speed and never stops running. Carl Peterson shocks the world with this pick, but it's understandable considering the Chiefs' need for a kick returner since the loss of Dante Hall. Plus, Peterson wants people around him that makes the King look like a freakin genius and Gump will be a great start in that endeavor.

Surprisingly, Gump did not score the lowest ever on the wonderlic test at the combine. Gump's score of 11 is still 4 points higher than Tennessee Titan QB, Vince Young.
