Yeah, I think Tyler and Dorsey will be starting before the end of the season. Probably sooner than later. :D

Dorsey has been working with the first unit since the start of OTAs.

He, Albert and Flowers will be starters day one.

By midseason, I expect that Barry Richardson and DaJuan Morgan will be starters at their respective positions (RT, SS).

DJ will/has been moved to Will, and D Williams is the likely starter at Sam.

Pat Thomas is pushing Nap Harris at Mike, and very well could also be starting day one.

It looks like Barndon Carr will be the first corner off the bench in the nickle with Surtain manning the slot in the nickle package.

Herb Taylor has been the backup to Albert in OTAs, but I still believe either he, or McDuffie, will be starting at RG by midseason.

By midseason, I expect that Barry Richardson and DaJuan Morgan will be starters at their respective positions (RT, SS).

I think Bernard Pollard will be a good SS and it'll be tough for a 3rd rd. rookie to replace a 2nd rd. guy with 2 years exp.

I doubt Williams will start unless Harris is benched.

Pat Thomas is pushing Nap Harris at Mike, and very well could also be starting day one.

Harris apparently was the "weak link" in the LB corp last year even though he produced better than any MLB the Chiefs have had this decade. If Harris and Williams start over Edwards, i'll be shocked.

It looks like Barndon Carr will be the first corner off the bench in the nickle with Surtain manning the slot in the nickle package.

I think we'll see Carr take the starting CB spot from Surtain by the bye week at least.

Herb Taylor has been the backup to Albert in OTAs, but I still believe either he, or McDuffie, will be starting at RG by midseason.

I think the starting RG spot will eventually be McIntosh. There seems to be some real competition between he and Richardson and with Herm wanting to go young, don't be shocked if the 6th rounder gets the nod while they move Tosh inside.

I doubt very seriously Taylor or McDufie beat anyone out for a starting spot. The best they can hope for is an injury if they want to start.

The starters by the end of the year will be:
QB-Croyle
RB-Johnson
FB-Cox
WR-Bowe, Price, Franklin, Darling
OT-Albert, Richardson
OG-Waters, McIntosh
C-Niswanger
TE-Gonzo, Cottam

DT-Dorsey, Boone
DE-Hali, Johnston
WOLB-Johnson
SOLB-Willams
MLB-Edwards
CB-Flowers, Carr
SS-Pollard
FS-Paige
Nickel-Surtain

KR-Robinson
PR-Sams

K-Barth
P-Colquitt

I think Bernard Pollard will be a good SS and it'll be tough for a 3rd rd. rookie to replace a 2nd rd. guy with 2 years exp.

I haven't been able to figure out why we drafted Bernard Pollard, unless we simply liked the fact that he had a rep a hard hitter.
The fact is, he's slow, and in a cover two, that's a liability.
If he had better instincts, then that lack of speed wouldn't be such an issue.

I doubt Williams will start unless Harris is benched.

Donnie is 35 years old, and he's not the same player he was in his first tour with the Chiefs.
With DJ moving to the weakside, Donnie just doesn't have the physical tools to play Sam on a full time basis.
He may start, but we'll see a lot of D Williams there.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record here.
McIntosh has no business playing anywhere on the line other than LT.
He has no lower body and leg strength.
He can't handle the more physical LDEs, and he sure as hell can't play inside against DTs.
He's played guard, and you might as well have a tackling dummy there as McIntosh.
He's useless.

And for the record, I think Taylor is going to be a hell of a player when he gets his chance.
The kid showed me that he has a great understanding of leverage, and used it extremely well in his limited opportunities.
If it were up to me, he'd be penciled in as the starter at RG right now.

Tyler needs to just make the active roster before I will predict hime starting. The guy got himself in the dog house last year. Until he proves otherwise, he is following the same path as Jr. Siavii.

I don't think there is any doubt that Dorsey won't be starting by opening day.

It is good to see that they moved Boone back to Dt instead of toying with him at End.

I wouldn't put to much stock into this depth chart, no way is that how it's gonna be.

All that is is showing that Bowe has the #2 slot, he is a starter and will start over Darling everytime for at least a while, I personally think it will take a lot to replace Bowe as a starter.
Hope Darling is showing tons though and not the lesser of all evils.

I hate that Huard is still number 2. Come on Thigpen, take that spot.

One suggestion... if Will Svitek is all we have to b/u Albert ... houston.. we have a problem. What ever hits the waiver wire that is somewhat good we should replace Svitek at LT#2 Let him go or see if he's got anything of value at DE where he was drafted.

If u feel that strong about Macintosh's skill set being that horrible how could you even possibly want him to play Brodies Blind Side. So brodie can not see the free rusher? So brodie can get blind sided? So brodie can fumble? So Brodie can get injured? So we can lose? Seems to me you would want Macintosh at least in brodie's vision. Considering hes young and the Qb clock might not tick to well in his head yet.

somoen said that Herb Taylor was backing up Albert in OTA's and also playing at back up RG.

I have a feeling that Taylor will be the number 1 back up to both Lt and Rt. Svitek is crap and shouldn't be on the team. I would rather have Jordan Black.

McIntosh is an athletic guy.
He does okay against the RDEs who are generally smaller quicker guys.

The problem with Mac is that he has a weak base.

Against LDEs, who are generally a bit bigger and stronger, he doesn't have the leg strength to hold his blocks, or to drive.
Those guys are just going to push him around like he's their little *****.

While the goal is to take steps forward, rather than backwards, his point is sound.

Svitek is worse than Black.

Svitek and Black are in the same area for me, and I want none of the above. Play either, and all you'll get is a killed QB.

I am not wishing Jordan Black back, but he is an upgrade over Svitek. Svitek is absolutely a waste of roster spot. Might as well put BILLY BARTEE at Lt.
