Why can't we just get a real name brand F###ing QB already? It's almost like he wallows in mediocrity. This guy is really starting to piss me off now

There aren't any real great QB's to begin with that are not already on a team. I think they wanted to test Croyle for a full year and if they didn't like what they saw they would go after a QB in the draft. Why bother signing someone like Simms or Culpepper when the mindeset for coaches and management is rebuilding. When you rebuild, you keep what you have and replace when good opportunities arise. I think the team should stick with Croyle when and if he returns, use Thigpen exclusively until Croyle comes back and only use Huard as a last ditch answer. That might upset fans that we'll lose more games that way, but we're not going to win many anyways and we might as well see what Croyle and Thigpen can do before the next draft.
Let's face the music, we'll be picking high in next year's draft again. Looking at the schedule, in all reality we're looking at a 5-11 season at best. I'm guessing another 4-12 is in our future. But nothing jumped out at me this week as a vast improvement over last year.

Agree. Croyle has been here since 06 and still hasn't won a game - and hurt again. Time to move on. Throw Thigpen in the fire. Huard as backup and Ingle 3rd.
Chiefs broght in Ratay and Simms and not impressed...

CROYLE LOVERS UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHATEVER!!!!!!! I had a sick feeling in my stomach the day we drafted him! Remember it like it was yesterday!!!! Like i've been saying, he will NEVER be anything but a back up at best and will probably be out of the league in 5 years! Why not sign Culpepper???? He won't do any worse than Huard or Thigpen or this new guy so WTF!!!!!!! He wants to start, we need a starter!! It's not like he wants to go to a contender or something! Offer him a 1 or 2 year deal. Who cares, if he turns it down, oh well!!!
I was kind of ok with the performance on Sunday but the more I watch the game, the more I continue to see more negatives than positives......... again!!!! QB, still need a legit #1 WR, Bowe is not it folks, O line ect..... I like what Charles brought and the time the QB had was ok but the O line created NO holes once again and that might be a bigger problem than protection!!! After what I saw on Monday, if we don't thump and I mean thump the f****** Raiders, this site may explode from all the F bombs that may fly!!!!!!!! If I have to listen to another interview with any head coach we have and Carl Pieceofsh*tson about how we just need to keep pluggin along and things will turn around, I'm not sure what will happen!!!!!! Get your beeper out mods because this fan of 30 years is FED THE F*** UP!!!!!
I sent the first of one a day emails to the Chiefs organization today. They will all convey my extreme displeasure with the mediocrity that has become the Kansas City Chiefs!! 20 years of a money grubbing bum is enough!! I don't know who to bring in but CP isn't working anymore!!! We hear about GM's and coaches being on the hot seat all the time and CP is NEVER EVER mentioned!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!! Well, it's time!! I'm not computer savy enough to start one but I would love to contribute in any way I can to start a www.firecarlpeterson.com (http://www.firecarlpeterson.com) website if there isn't already one! I will send it to every sports media outlet there is!!!! This is PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!

Why is everyone jazzed on Culpepper??? He is a joke.
I'm glad the Chiefs signed this no-name QB, because they get him at a discount. He is only an insurance policy and will probably not see the field on gameday.
Culpepper would have wanted a lot of money, because he thinks so highly of himself. And still wonders why no one wanted him this off-season.
Simms is obviously not that great either, remember the Pats looked at him before the Chiefs did and came up with the same conclusion. Everyone thinks the head honchos in NE are brilliant, so why should we be upset the Chiefs didnt pick up Simms.
I do wonder why they keep jacking things around with Huard. I dont care if Huard has more experience than Thigpen. Thigpen won the 2nd string QB job, let him start so we know where we are on draft day 2009.
By-the-way, this post is in no defense of CP. I agree he has squandered our chances in the past few years by getting mediocre teams that win just enough to keep us coming back, but never really being contenders.
I don't see a reason to sign anybody else. We may have a diamond in the rough with Thigpen and not know it. Look at Flacco, Ryan, Cassel, Edwards, Rogers. All newer qb's and all winners last weekend! Get Thig in there and see if he can win!
As far as King Carl, he is nothing but a salesman. We need a football man. He should have been ran out of town 15 years ago after his 5 year plan failed...

i think huard should start, if u rely wanna win games...he knowz da playbook better, and is a vet that knowz what hez doing...What i dont lyk about him is that sometimez he throwz the ball 4 no reason then getz picked off...And brodie wuz a little impressive by not throwing stupid passes...I just dont thik thigpen is ready 2 start yet

But who else was playing in those preseason games? What I saw, that I liked about Thig, is the same thing I liked about Printers last preseason, if the play is not working out, make a play!!! Thig showed in preseason, that he will get the first down if the play doesn't work out!!!!
I do not know, hell I not a coach, but dammit, I like a QB that will be a playmaker! We had one with Gannon, but that got f###up! Then he went to the faiders, and took them to the SB!

I can't really look back at many rookie season where a QB came out and didn't throw dsitinctly more TD's or equal to amount of interceptions. I mean over whelming different in the positive. It is part of the learning curve. I would rather see Thigpen throw those picks and learn from them this year instead of next year where we may have less holes and be more competitive.
I was hoping the playing time that Croyle got last year would help this year. I think he made smarter throws in pre-season compared to last year which got him benched.

You can only bet that as long as the stadium sells out and they get all their money - Carl is going no where until his contract is up.
Afterall football is a business - now that games this season are not selling out, and a lot of the local games probably wont be on TV - maybe the owner will see that its time for a change.
Business is business - Carl made a lot of money running the organization, but maybe his time has come.
