Bringing back Cowher would be a good move. But not to replace Herm - to replace King Carl.
Then allow Cowher to fire Herm or whatever he wanted to do.
I can't believe other teams haven't been pleading for his services. Maybe they have. Maybe he is tired of coaching and wants to stay settled down. Who knows.

Don't stop there. We are 36 million under the cap. Right now the owner is more worried about spending money on the stadium instead of putting a quality product on the field. They are stealing from the fans of KC.

Yeah I can see your point. The Ownership is not the same since Lamar passed. Although I did not realize we we that far under the salary cap. That is insane. Oh well I guess we can just suffer though these times until the owner realizes if he can't put a good football team on the field they are not going to be able to raise ticket and parking prices every year and continue to sell out arrowhead. If this season continues this way this will be a watch up call for them and we will have to see if they bother to answer it.

Born and raised in KC and a die-hard Chiefs fan living in Phoenix. Does a head coach make a difference?? Hell, I live in Arizona and have been waiting for something positive to happen to the Cardinals since I move here in '91. Enter one Ken Wissenhunt, a Cowher ***'t and disciple. Cards 8-8 last season and 2-0 to start. Let me see......yeah I like the Cards chances a lot better than the Chiefs.
One big problem..........Herm is a General who has lost his troops and Herm won't fire himself. 76,000 no-shows at the next home game might spur the front office into action.

You are right to a degree,it is partly the queens fault. But hermmie runs the team. he says what goes on the offense and defense. hermmie goes too and take gun and gaily with you.

there are surtain coaches who can take a bad team and make them play descent. herm obviousley is not one of those coaches.the worse part about all of this there are very few bright spots on this team. this is one big nightmare 14 straight losses makes me want to puke i do not care what the excuses are with herm he flatout can not get his players to play for him. his boring tactics set the nyj back years now he is doing it here come on you got d-bowe gonzalez use them not just when there is two minutes left you freakin jacka## the good young rookies we have now will never be great if they are acustom to losing all of the time

You can't be serious. Herm is garbage. He has a winning percentage of .382 in KC and .456 for his coaching career. Coaches with that kind of record become coordinators, position coaches, or find themselves somewhere in the college ranks. This is a guy that went to the playoffs with another coach's team in his first year here and has only gone backwards since.

In his defense, this is his 8th season as a NFL coach and he has made the playoffs 4 times in as many winning seasons. So, if you take the season total, he's basically right at .500. The reason his percentages are so low is because he has two 4-12 sesasons as a coach.

Okay, so he's not the worst coach in history. However, he is not a championship coach. I will be surprised if Herm remains a head coach in the NFL after his tenure with the Chiefs is done. I also don't think he will make the playoffs again as a head coach. His gameplan is from the 1950's in a league that's all about flying high in the new millenium.

Any 1 of us could rebuild a team through the draft! He hasnt proven he can manage a game or a season! I can walk into a draft room and take players that a position needs or take the best player avail! Its not rocket science!:toast2:
