This all sounds suspect to me.

First of all, the accuser is a mother who is out at the clubs at 2:30 in the morning. That says a lot in itself. Second, I don't believe for a nanosecond that she had only one drink in 3 hours at the club. Third, it was such a traumatic experience for her that she had to convince herself to report it the next day.

Now, LJ is no saint and he's screwed up in the past. But this lady sounds like she's full of sh!t to me. People will do anything to try to get their payday.

That is such a sexist thing to say!

Second, I don't believe for a nanosecond that she had only one drink in 3 hours at the club.
How do you know that she had more than one drink? Its quite possible she was telling the truth about the one drink.

Third, it was such a traumatic experience for her that she had to convince herself to report it the next day.

Not that it is any of your business but I was raped several years ago. It was so traumatic that I didn't go to the police. I just wanted to forget it ever happened and tried to block it out how a man could do that to a woman so much weaker than he.

Maybe the woman was after money, I really don't know. You don't know why she waited until the next day to report it. I had reasons for not reporting the rape.True, maybe she didn't think of getting anything out of it til the next day. When I clicked on the link the article didn't come up so I don't know what it said but I read the first article about when LJ "got" in trouble. Didn't he just accidently bump into her in a crowded bar.? I know traumatic and bumping into Joe Blow in a bar, etc wouldn't be traumatic unless she was a little person and her face was shoved up into his crotch. Now "THAT" would be traumatic!
What you can get out of this is "DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING. There are three words in the word assume - a$$[of] u[and] me.

::To any little people out there reading, I wasn't meaning to belittle little people with my little people injection.::

How is that sexist? Personally, if I had a child at home, I would not be out at clubs until 2:30 am. Though, I don't do that anyway. So maybe I'm a little biased there but was not being sexist by any means. I would say the same thing about a man.

As far as the drink goes. I'm just speaking in probabilities. Most people who go clubbing have more than one drink in 3 hours.

Apples and oranges as Canada may say. Getting raped is very traumatic and serious. Getting "pushed in the face" is totally different. At worst, (and I wasn't there so I don't know) it sounds like her pride was what may have gotten hurt. I'm sorry for what happened to you. It shouldn't have happened. I don't want to belittle that or make it seem like less than it was. I'm glad you have been able to work through that and wish you the best in getting through that and continuing to remain strong (as it seems you have).

The fact of the matter is that LJ needs to avoid putting himself in these sitiuations.

There are people out there who know who you are and will do anything to get attention or make a buck.

Im not saying this women is right or wrong. But all NFL players (or famous people for that matter) have a greater chance of getting victimized.

Yeah, but you can't expect athletes and celebs to live in caves because people can't control themselves when they see them. (Not saying this lady was throwing herself at LJ or anything. I don't know.)

We all know that fame comes with a price. But it's up to each and every one of us, individually, to act maturely and responsibly when in the presence of somebody famous. The people that can't exercise self-restraint in that situation are the reason why so many famous people want to avoid the "normies" as much as possible.

Ok Moe, I 'm sorry for being a little to quick to yell "Sexist!". Its nice to hear a man say that he wouldn't go clubbing when he had children at home. And yes, I don't think its right for a mother to go out clubbing when she had children at home.

For the 'apples and oranges' theory, everything is different. If apples and oranges can't be compared to each other, then what can?

When you make comparisons about things that are different, you base your comparisons based on the way that two things are similar.

Apples have seeds. Oranges have seeds. Apples are fruit. Oranges are fruit. Apples grow on trees. Oranges grow on trees. A man forces unwanted contact on a woman. Another man forces unwanted contact on a woman.

Apples are red. Oranges are orange.

Yup, they are different. But this apple is bigger than that apple, so they are different too.

The concept of "apples and oranges" is really nothing more than a way of not discussing anything.

I suggest that we can compare apples to cats.

If there is some similarity between LJ shoving some woman by her face, and some man raping a woman, then the two can be compared. While, the differences overwhelm the similarities in degree, the similarities can still be shown.

I'd say that making that comparison is mis-leading, but not completely inaccurate, as it has some similarities.

I find it to be mis-leading, because of how extreme some of the differences are.

Kinda like comparing apples to armageddon. But apples and oranges have a whole lot in common.:D

Hillbilly, you weren't there like none of us were. I used to go clubbing(before I stopped drinking) but sometimes I had money for only 1 drink. I loved to dance, I could do that for 3 hours; after my drink was gone I would get a bottle of water and would refill it all through the night.

Maybe she was there to get laid and maybe she wasn't. What I'm trying to say is that the only people that knows what happened that night is LJ, her, and any people that were around her the whole night.

First of all, I wasn't there I know however your implication that she may not have enough money for more than one drink is ridiculous!! The club they were at is no dump! You don't go there with no money. Besides, the chances of her only having one drink is slim and none and you know it! The odds of finding out who LJ is and trying to get something for nothing however are far better!

Any of her claims are possible. And it seems to be her word against his right now, on everything.

So, the fact that Larry has shown himself to be an a** rather frequently is all that I have to lean the odds.

I agree. This chick was probably drunk and wanted to get a piece of that $45 mil one way or the other. (Make of that what you want.) :D

I wasn't there so I don't know but I would bet money that she had more than one drink and is not entirely innocent in this whole affair. Besides, pushing the side of somebody's face isn't assault-- regardless of who is in the wrong. (Unless of course she was physically hurt by getting pushed down or into something or if she had bruises or a black eye.) None of that is in the report-- not assault. It doesn't even say that the push caused her to fall down. It just sounds frivolous to me TBQH.

Actually, that is assault. People can't just touch you however they want, and say that since it didn't hurt, it wasn't assault.

If someone had shoved LJs face, this would be a far bigger issue. And, most definitely assault.

I understand that. There are things that are obviously off-limits and wrong. This is not one of them. You shouldn't be able to clog up the already over-crowded legal system with BS like this because your f#cking pride got hurt! Gimme a break. If I had a problem with somebody pushing the side of my face, then there would be an assault. Chances are, I would shrug it off and chalk it up to them being an @$$hole. It wouldn't ruin my night.

But no, no, no... Let's go ahead and sue each other for every little damn thing. While we're at it, let's all keep managing our money horribly and blame the government for all our problems!

Before we spend money and time on crap like this, people should be holding corporations accountable for what they are doing to our economy.

No, I was suggesting to shrug it off and go about your business as it is, really, no big deal. And if someone can't swallow their pride enough to let it go, then they should let the offending party know about it. She could have cussed LJ up one side and down the other. She could have even pushed him back if she wanted. (I'll bet LJ's 45 mil that a big, bad pro football player isn't going to file an assault charge against a woman for shoving him back.) And if LJ was smart, he would simply walk away at that point. Ultimately, somebody has to sacrifice a little pride. It's a sad state of affairs when somebody can find a payday in something so minor. This is the kind of stuff that encourages people to target celebrities for money.

If she cussed LJ out, she would have been rudely removed from the club.

So, basically, LJ owns the rest of us, and we can be his b****es, or .... be his b****es?

You don't get to just walk around shoving people like they are beneath you, humiliating them at your leisure, no mater who you are.

If she shoved him back, you really don't believe that she would have been man-handled on her way out the door, by his 'entourage' and/or bouncers?

Again, provided her statement is accurate, LJ acted like an a**, and believed that he was above some stranger at the club. He should not have the right to go around putting his hands on people like that.

Does she deserve a huge payout for that? No. Certainly not.

But she isn't filing a lawsuit. She is filing criminal charges. So far, she hasn't done anything that suggests that she is even looking for a payout.

In fact, since we have done plenty of speculation here, I would say that the fact that it got this far, with the report having been filed awhile back, that LJ has already made an offer that she rejected.

It is clearly in his best interests to keep this story from hitting the press.

Having laws to keep people from shoving others like this is a good thing. If they weren't there, then there would be alot of people shoving each other and, therefore, alot more violence.

Standing up for yourself against somebody like LJ is not being his *****. It shows you've got some spine.

You don't get to just walk around shoving people like they are beneath you, humiliating them at your leisure, no mater who you are.

I agree with that. LJ is a d!ck for doing something like that, even if it was provoked. Like I said, somebody needs to swallow some pride. LJ has plenty to swallow and should be the first to do so since he is in the limelight, being a pro athlete.

If she shoved him back, you really don't believe that she would have been man-handled on her way out the door, by his 'entourage' and/or bouncers?

Again, so? If anything unprofessional or untoward happens in that situation (other than her being escorted to the door free of harm) then she would be totally justified in filing a lawsuit and pressing charges against the offending parties.

Again, provided her statement is accurate, LJ acted like an a**, and believed that he was above some stranger at the club. He should not have the right to go around putting his hands on people like that.

Again, I agree. Aside from it being wrong, LJ needs to realize that is just waiting to blow up in his face before he does it.

Does she deserve a huge payout for that? No. Certainly not.

Okay, maybe a citation and a fine like a speeding ticket or something. (Driving carelessly is more dangerous than shoving someone.)

I guess what I'm saying is this sounds like a "slap on the wrist" offense to me. I really don't think it has any place in a court room other than to pay a fine or something like that. JMO

Unless he pleads not guilty.

You mentioned 'swallowing your pride' and it seems, from the little information at hand, that that is what this woman did.

But she has every right to report to the police that someone made the first step in a fist-fight with her.

And how would be justified that she would get escorted from the place for doing one of the things that you suggest she should have?

In fact, after the alleged shoving, had she even walked toward him to throw a drink in his face, she likely would have been restrained by his 'posse'. But, as long as they don't cause any real harm, that is ok?

I just think that celebs do a bit too much whining about the rest of us. As the rest of us do too much trying to scam some cash from them.

Do you really believe that LJ's intention was to have a fist-fight with a woman? I'm not saying he was right in what he did but it's not like he beat the hell out of her. He probably misinterpreted her actions and intent and was too quick and harsh in his initial reaction.

And I'm not saying she should have (or haven't) done anything. The only thing I can speculate on is what I could do in that situation. And it wouldn't be fair for her to be removed from the club, that's just what would happen. It's reality. Unfortunately, we do live in a world where celebrities are put on pedestals above the rest of us. It's not fair. It ain't right. It's just how it is. Rich and famous people beat murder raps while the rest of us get taken to the cleaners over a single-car accident with no injuries. (Just happened to a couple of friends recently). In both instances, they totaled their cars (that they can't afford to replace, anyway) and then they get hung out to dry on court costs and fines as well. No alcohol or anything like that involved... Just accidents.

So, the rich and famous get special treatment. It's nothing new and unfortunately, a large portion of the people who don't like it still help to make it possible.

Serve me up a plate of crow, Chief31.

I was hoping this would be something minor and wanted to give LJ the benefit of the doubt.

However, with his history and now another incident over the bye week with another woman in a club, it's blatantly obvious that LJ is a turd.

I have totally changed my mind on this. This woman should absolutely press charges as well as sue the crap out of LJ. The NFL should suspend him as well. This d!ckhead needs to learn a lesson and should get it from all angles.

I can't believe I stuck-up for this trash. Screw trading LJ, let's hook him up with Pac-Man Jones so they can help each other get expelled from the league and we can get out of his contract.

Therefore, since everyone wants to give celebs that kind of special treatment, they should press charges, and sue them for whatever they can get. Celebs already have plenty of advantages in life. But they are not entirely above the law.

Yeah, I still won't call him guilty. But it doesn't help his image that this is going on again. I believe that he is probably a total piece of garbage. But I can't really call him that, because I don't know.

Just a guess. Call it a hunch, if you will.

Im not going to go all the way back through this whole thread to agree or disagree with anyone so ill just post my thoughts.

LJ has been a problem on and off the field ever since signing. I dont get enough playing time. The HC dont like me. OK ive gotten the ball now give it to me more. I want a new contract or im not playing. Oh, Ive had 3 or 4 altercations with women? (cant remember how many now) also ive had 2 within this year and 1 when im on my bye week knowing the other is still under investigation? WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE EVER EVEN THINK OF PROTECTING OR DEFEND THIS GUY FOR WHAT HE DOES? If I was to show up at a bar and do this my *** would be in a sling for my first offense! He has a very bad attitude and personality towards not only the team but life in general!

NEWS FLASH TO LJ!....The world does not evovle around you buddy! Since we cant trade you? Then maybe take a page outta Ricky Williams page? FREAKING RETIRE!

We should pop a surprise drug test on LJ. Let's try to find something that will help us get out of his contract.

LJ has a history of beating on women. A few years ago I met his ex-girlfriend just a few weeks before he beat her(first time he was in trouble for this crap). She was an incredibly well spoken, well mannered woman, I was very impressed. My only dissapointment was why would this great person date such a piece of crap.
LJ needs his *** locked up, then bubba can give LF a dose of his own medicine.

I typically do not go out to bars... but I have on occasion with the girls.... there is nothing wrong with that - I was responsible and make sure I do not put MY self in situations that could be dangerous.

I do however have one thing to say. If some guy shoved my head in any way - I would either punch him or kick him in the nuts! Who cares about money! :D

Larry has apologized for his behavior now, but I wonder how many of the women that he messed with has he apologized to?

It really doesn't matter now since he has had another altercation. Johnson will plea out on this, pay the accuser some money for her troubles and settle out of court. Now that this new story is out there, I am not sure there is a jury out there that would vote no guilty now.

He will probably plea out and pay her off but he will still get a STIFF suspension from Goodell. If not I will be very surprised.

Its old since Feb but new since it happened AGAIN in the last few weeks! He has proven time and again he has NO respect for women other than his family (maybe) and he has shown he has no respect for this organization or the fans that pay more for a ticket than he makes a hour for a game or atleast somewhere near. I hope Goodell comes down hard on his arse and either gives him a wake up call or runs him outta the NFL! Thats just my personal feelsings since i cant stand disrespect period either man or woman.

I don't think he means it like that. We know that LJ has done, and after hearing about it over and over through the media and on this forum, it gets a little annoying. He's not gonna be a Chief next year, anyways.

If so thats going to hit hard at hom with the cap when we are most likely going to have a high draft pick! I agree though....I dont think the Chiefs will put up with his crap after this year if he dont show a attitude improvement!

Why is everyone hating on LJ all of the time. The guy has admitted that he was wrong with what he did and is going to seek help to get better on and off of the field. Being a Chief fan you HAVE to believe him whether you like it or not because there is such load of money invested in him. And as for what he did... Spit a drink in a girls face and said he was going to kill her boyfriend. Come on... That's a little bit funny atleast.

But what I want to know is what do you think KC/NFL will do about it in the future? They benched him for this week, but what about the future? 3 game suspension? Something like that?

I am sure they will do SOMETHING, especially with the way these nfl players have been acting.:fatlock:

FUNNY!? Yeah, we'll see how funny it is when he turns a couple of people into pez dispensers and then has to try a glove on in the courtroom.

LJ is scum. Nobody should have to take classes or go to counseling to know that assaulting women is wrong.

I for one, is down on him since he is a disrespecptful sh!t. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see he is more concerned about himself rather the team or his influence on the city or youth! yeah, he made his apologies and such and i truely hope they are real. I for one doubt they are though. I hope im wrong.

The NFL hasnt benched or suspeneded him yet. This is Herm's doing. WHEN he does get suspended? I wouldnt look at anything less than 4 games if not for rest of season tbh.If so? Rightfully done! He deserves it! Lets see how sorry he is then!

well it's a little FUNNY in the fact that atleast he's not physically beating girls any more so he's improving. And he's going to a chief for the next few years any way if he can straighten out his act like he claims so who cares if he gets suspended another 4 games from the league... We suck this year any way. I say keep him fresh for when the team gets good. He doesn't need to be taking 28 carries a game when we're not winning.

He isn't? So, basically, you think that he was telling the truth at the podium. Let me tell you this. The guy's lying. He is so full of it that it isn't even funny. He said he was gonna be a role-model and a leader when he got this contract, and has completely screwed it up. Why would he turn over a new leaf now?

Attacking a woman for the fifth time, this is no reason to drop him? Maybe he shoulda just kicked her A$$, then we would feel beeter if we dropped him, right? Give me a freakin break. Also, me and a friend both heard on radio(not saying its true) that the Chiefs were in talks with the NFL to get some type of deal that will give us relief to the cap if LJ is suspended for a long period of time. Sorry, I cant quote stations or host for the comments since we were taken up by the whole deal. Basically, from what we heard, there is a possibilty that the Chiefs could possibly cut LJ at the end of year and not have to take full brunt of the cap hit. I dont know if I see it happening but I, for 1, would love it! the Chiefs have always been a class act and never has coondoned or kept players who werent. We will just have to see what happens. LJ doesnt go to court until Dec for his current case and no set date for the recent 1.

So, since I never hit a woman before it would be ok for me to spit in your wifes, girlfriends, sister, aunts, or moms face? It would be my first offense so you would forgive me? Or is it because he is your favorite player you are willing to put him above all the rest of us regular people? He gets paid millions to play a game we only wish we has the talent for! That dont make him above anyone else and DAMNED sure dont make him above the law or even more, above humanity to treat everyone, if atleast only women right!
