Ok, let's help out timbok and teach him to actually start threads that have purpose and thought instead of games and post whoring...timbok, you're a guy(well I'm totally assuming that right here) act like one, show your football knowledge and why they let you hawk your site here is beyond me, but whateverrrrrrrrr...

Thanks to the Jets Blog for pointing out that the NFL's official transactions page now lists running back Curtis Martin as activated from the team's physically unable to perform list. Much like the Colts' activation of defensive tackle Corey Simon, which happened on Thursday, it could be the first step toward officially ending Martin's career with the Jets. Unlike Simon, of course, Martin has been a tremendous player for the Jets whose tenure with the team will be celebrated when his departure becomes official. Martin played eight seasons with the Jets, which followed three with the Patriots, who drafted him in 1995. With 14,101 career rushing yards, he has a good chance of being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Martin re-worked his contract with the Jets last month, which freed up some salary cap space for the team. Few people seriously expected him to return in 2007, as he turned 34 in May, had his least productive season in 2005 and missed all of 2006 with a knee injury.

Curtis Martin has been one of my favorite players since he came into the league, my friends and b/f can totally attest to that fact, hell I even have a CM jersey so I'm happy that he's being activated so he can retire a Jet, the guy has totally come into the league and "quietly" got his numbers for 10 years straight and showed nothing but C L A S S...enjoy your retirement CM and see ya in the HOF.

Curtis Martin was always good for Fantasy football.

Sweets

do I care??? I'll get back to you on that....ummm No I don't, but now back to the topic at hand, liking a team for 10 years and yet you still have nothing to say about them, IMO that pretty sad I mean why come here and post nothing but crap like Go Jets, wtf...

I just hoping that this will wake you up and make you realize that as a member here it's your responsibility to help the site be all that it can be or why come here? This is a Chiefs site but as a fan of another team you need to let us know what the Jets are doing, and why you think that they will have a better season then they did last year.

I can't dislike you, I don't know you in real life to hate you in internet mode. :)

Chiefster
07-16-2007, 03:41 PM
timbok, i think what Sweets is conveying is that if you have knowledge to share here then please do; don't let the fact that this is primarily a Chiefs site deter you from telling us about your team - especially now that we have a board dedicated to the rest of the league.

Now, can't we all just get along? LOL!!!

Sweets
07-16-2007, 04:19 PM
Chiefster, we are getting along as best we can, no one is fighting and I thought I conveyed my position well enough to timbok...

now do u want my opinion on the jets?

Sweets
07-16-2007, 04:22 PM
Of course I do timbok, you know you and I can't fight each other, we follow each other all over the internet, now...enlighten me with your Jet knowledge my man....

timbok
07-16-2007, 04:24 PM
lol...ok woMAN
we do follow each other don't we...
the jets have the healthy arm of pennington coming back, with the running of jones, and the now more mature o-line,and the stronger safety..i expect them to be a big time contender within 3 years..thats my thoughts on there contender chances

Sweets
07-16-2007, 04:35 PM
How long before that so-called healthy arm gives out??? lol As far as a running game you don't have one to speak of timbok, and Vilma is really in a wrong scheme, so adios to him after this season..The thing that will help you guys is that Miami is crap, Buffalo hasn't improved enough yet and you lose 2 to the Pats...you go just .500 outside of your division and you're in the playoffs, not for long but in it nonetheless

timbok
07-16-2007, 04:39 PM
i doubt we lost to the pats twice..we now have a more momentum
we have an better running game for sure.....
vilam is messed up
penny is awesome.

Sweets
07-16-2007, 04:43 PM
Vilma is in the wrong scheme, he's a 4-3 MLB...Pennington is not awesome he's fragile and it's too bad because he has skills.

chief31
07-16-2007, 07:00 PM
Is Pennington fragile, or has he been playing for a coach who doesn't respect the offensive lines ability ot pass-protect? Is it a coincidence, that he got a new coach, who, in turn, got him some talented pass-protectors and finally, managed to play a full season?

Sweets
07-16-2007, 07:02 PM
Well Carr played with NO oline and never got hurt..hmmmmmmmm

That's a good point. You don't think Carr was a little bit lucky?

Sweets

5 years and tackled 249, 76 times in his rookie year??? hardly luck, that's a tough QB right there, Pennington could only dream to be that tough..

Tough, sure, I'll grant that. But a hair of bad luck would have tore his shoulder. Then, it's already injured.... luck isn't on your side, anymore.

Sweets

Regardless 31, you can only go by what's happened to each of these guys and Pennington has proved that he is fragile...any one in the league can break something with a bad hit or a bad fall but when you're hurt time and time again it just proves you can't take hits well.

Well, I'll grant that once it is hurt, it's fragile, so, to that extent, I agree with you. But, now that he has some protection, he finally had a healthy season. While Herm got his starter injuered, in week one. Just an observation.

I think the addition of Thomas Jones will certainly help the Jets. And the loss of Jones will hurt the Bears. I like the Jets to win about 9-10 games. They will go as far as pennington take them IMO. I just don't like Pennington. My AFC East prediction:
Pats
Jets
Dolphins
Bills
