What is the latest on the progress of Dwayne Bowe?

Good question; I'm not finding a whole lot on him right now.

after how bad one has read about him in the ramblings of the KC STAR,hes probably hiding.

I pray that he is not a bust. that would really suck.

The bright side I guess is that he played in the SEC which is one of the toughest conferences and it's also known as a passing conference. He had a pretty good career at LSU.

i think or hope he was just nervous, if isnt afraid to cut across the middle it would open either he or tony g.

I think he struggled in the Rookie mini-camp.

bowe needs to sign on the dotted line and get his rookie butt to camp. he was the 23rd pick not the 10 ten.

Tynes was Ok. If this kid is as good as he was in college, he will be a stud. He can boot it from a long way out!

Yeah but what good is he to us if he doesn't get signed on the dotted line.

Ya know, it's a stupid thing in the NFL. Hardly anyone signs without some sort of bullcrap!!! There's only a handfull of guys that have signed with out a problem this year again!

you see? this is why kickers should be required to convert a 2-point conversion before they can attempt the extra point!:bananen_smilies066:

Hey I get it, than all the talk would be pointless!! (grin)

:wheelchair: Hey, I told him that I would give him a million dollars for every 95 yard field goal he kicks, what more does he want!!

We cut Tynes because he hit the upright on more extra points than anyone in the league.

If we go without a kicker, I like the 2 point every time. It's less exciting than LT back there.

The rookie will sign. A rookie kicker makes less than a million a year. We have cap room.

I have an idea, let's find out if Brodie or Huard can drop kick it, Carl could throw in a bonus for every extra point and field goals they kick. (grin)

:wheelchair: I sure am glad I thought of that, I will have those two in my office first thing in the morning!!

Yeah but he could hit 'em from 45-50 yards out; all we had to do was kick our PATs from the 35. :)

All we needed then was a very looooong snapper, wouldn't have to worry about a blocked extra point from the 35, the holder would even have time to handle a bad snap, hey Carl we have the answer. (grin)

:wheelchair: I will get on it first thing in the morning!!

I absolutely agree. :sign0098:

Bowe is a :sign0104: !!! His holding out from training camp is just keeping him from learning the offensive system. Let's see here... You're a rookie joining not just a new team, but a new LEAGUE and you're going to miss out on learning/practice because you think you're going to be the Michael Jordan of the receiver position or something??? Give me a break. We will see how many teams want to shower you with millions when you've never stepped on the field in a pro game or you've had mediocre numbers or some poor performances due to your crappy work ethic. Get in camp before it's too late, loser.

P.S. If Bowe can't figure out that he needs to prove himself as a star before a team will pay him like one, he should just jump on the "Whiner Wagon" with T.O. and Keyshawn. We will see how many teams want to mess with him then. At least those other 2 guys have decent stats/production on the field and have proven themselves at the pro level. THAT is the ONLY reason why any team wants to deal with T.O. or Johnson at all. This rookie-holdout crap is bad enough but if Bowe ever opens his mouth and says something stupid in T.O.-fasion, I would be tempted to find him and slap him myself. (Though he would easily kick the crap out of me after that.) LOL

Cool. I hope it's true. Didn't mean to get so carried away in the rant. I don't know what kind of guy Bowe is at all, personally. It just drives me absolutely MAD to see rookies, (of all people) holding out for more money. I can't start a new job and demand a raise before I ever even step foot in the workplace...
