I think that hitting us with three, out of four, on the road, to start the season, is almost as bad as hitting us with three, out of our, to end it. Very rough schedule.

we`ll see how hermmies "d" is. his offense,,, well it might be more exciting watching the local nursing eat pudd`en.

I fear that his defense may well be his offense.

its a shame watching a once powerful "o" go down the drain.

I said the same thing about our "D" throughout the Vermeil era.

When Vermiel arrived, he brought something, where there had been nothing. Both sides of the ball were weak.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but I was thinking that the defense was solid.

I wasn't blaming Vermeil for the lack of defense throughout his time here just reiterating the fact that we seem to continue to have trouble developing both sides of the ball. We either have a strong defense and a week offense or vice versa.

I defend Vermiels attempts to strengthen his defense. If you look at his last few drafts, the first day picks show a true commitment to improving the defense. The problem was with his loyalty to "his guys". The fact that guys like Simms didn't work-out, may have been caused by the lack of motivation, from the defensive coahes.

I think we will do well, We have an interesting offense and defense and I cant wait to see how they pull em together at training camp. Gonna be a great year ! GO CHIEFS !

Agreed; I think Sims didn't work out is because of just that, the guy didn't work out. He'd get fat and lazy in the off season.

This is a list of the "guaranteed money, that has been given to some of the leagues biggest names, at runningback. Where do we feel that L.J. belongs, then? Appearently, he is demanding $28 million, while the Chiefs are offering eleven million.

L. Tomlinson, SD '04 $21
C. Portis, WAS '04 $17
F. Gore, SF '07 $14
S. Alexander, SEA '06 $13.5
E. James, ARI '06 $11.5
D. McAllister, NO '05 $11

Oops. Wrong thread. Chiefster, you feel like moving this, for me?

I would rather get the on the road schedule out of the way before Nov. then after.

every year it seems like we get the shaft. i like a harder schedule, toughens you up for the playoffs. the trouble with this is we cant win on the road, so we get in a hole before before the half way mark. we win just enough games to keep us from drafting high to get the better players. and win just enough games to keep us coming back for more of the queen`s anticks.

So, like I said before, I don't think 15-18 million is too much to offer! At this point, he is better than 4 out of those 5 guys!

Even at $18 mil, he is demanding $28 mil. I doubt he acccepts anything that low.

Yeah, while he demands twenty-eight million, of course he only wants eighteen. I don't think so. We'll see, but, I doubt it.

We got hosed. Away on the beginning and the end of the season sucks. I really dont care who we play but we suck on the road and its really gonna make this season a bust if we play like last year on the road. We can take on anyone at home and have the advantage regardless of what team it is. Arrowhead is a damn hard stadium to win in period.

Come on man, don't you always ask for more than your willing to take??? Everybody does. If they don't, their just screwin their selves out of more money! It's a negotiating ploy. People do when selling cars for god's sake.
