MIAMI (TICKER) —New Orleans Saints (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nor/;_ylt=AnXxgahQ2xKw_HkMaFIq9oALubYF) linebacker Jonathan Vilma (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6771/;_ylt=Anct1XaLYn8GQYKKQEcX1GQLubYF) reportedly was arrested Friday night and charged with reckless driving and resisting arrest.
Vilma was booked in Miami-Dade County Jail and released on bond at approximately 10 p.m., according to WSVN-TV in Miami.
A Miami native, Vilma ran his Range Rover through traffic, sped through a red light and was arrested after a verbal altercation with police, according to the report.
The Saints have not commented on Vilma’s reported arrest.
Vilma, 26, recorded 132 tackles this past season, his first with New Orleans.
