The KC Star is reporting that Ferentz says :

"Unless I get hit by a truck, I’ll see you on March 25 (the first day of spring practice). If I get hit by a truck, I can’t help you there. But my plans are to be here."

I think it's fair to say he will not be in KC any time soon. I'm relieved.
