I read in a forums that someone recommended a live chatbox . I want to see if we can make this happen - It would be a blast I think.

We had it last year, but attendence was low, during games. That doesn't mean that We won't try it again. I have no say in the matter. I liked the idea and wouldn't mind giving it another shot.

Sorry , I guess I had like a room that we clicked on that brought up a chat window like MSN Messenger in a way that said who all the members were that were in the room in my head .

No problem; it's not exactly what you describe but it's close.

You know, I'm thinking a pop-up window might work better as well. In the mean time, we do have the shoutbox at the bottom of the screen. I will look into alternative options.

Cool!

A public poll might help get the pulse of the "Crowd" on this subject.

The "shout" at the bottom is nice................

but you have to scroll to it and I don't know if it refreshes automatically or with a screen change/ refresh.

Thanks for looking into it. I will be on during games that my kids don't have a "trumping" activity....

It refreshes every few seconds.

OK - if we could bump it up to the top of a page rather than a foot note that you have to look for each time you read an article, I think that would work. As it is right now, if I am typing this, I have no clue what is down in that area (and the logging of posts would clutter any active shouts).

Is there a way to filter out the post notices and just look at the live texting?

Yes and yes. I left it at the bottom because I thought it was annoying at the top when I tried it there. It would probably make more sense to put it up there once the season starts. I am probably going to scrap it altogether though and use something more similar to MSN Messenger.

I agree with this, and the "unread link" at the top helps us to keep track of all the latest posts quite nicely; perhaps it isn't necessary to have that information listed in the chat engine.

Either way it can only improve upon a very functional and enjoyable site....

Until we can locate a good pop-up window to appease everyone, it might be a good idea to pop it to the top of the page on Chiefs gamedays only.

That can be the plan b. But I hope to have something that kicks butt way before game 1.
