We're not going after Vilma or Peppers, not for a 3-4 defense.

How about the Chiefs trade the 3rd pick for the Cardinals 31st pick, their 4th rounder, and Dansby?

I thought Peppers said he wanted to be traded to a team that employs the 3-4?
The Cards won't trade for our 3rd pick for the same reasons we want to trade out of it.

They need a LT really badly, and they can probably get A. Smith or Monroe there.

Peppers does want to play in a 3-4, but we're not going to trade and pay 10M a year for a 3-4 LB.

Nobody is going to want to trade up for our pick unfortunately. I hope they do, but I'm just very doubtful. Too much guaranteed money involved.

The point was to keep Dansby, not use him as trade bait...Dansby is off limits for another year, or until he signs a long term contract.

Because thats where he agreed to wanting to go. Peppers has a say in it.

agreed! we are going to be screwed for this year unless we get somone that can make a impact this year. alsowe are going to be a team hard pressed to make a run at any young, high priced free agent. They will look at last years standings and think of another option.
