not much of computer guy. hopin maybe someone here could give me insight or quick answer.

The situation is: Im suppose to be gettin 1.5 DSL speed from my ISP. To check this I went to Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test (http://www.speedtest.net/) to check my results.

It said my download speed is 1537 kb/s

My upload speed is 269 kb/s

My latency/ping is 40 ms.

Uhmm.. does that look 1.5 speed. this may sound dumb to some of you. But can you make sense of these numbers.

1537 = 1.537 dl speed.

with DSL you always have a much lower upload unless you pay for it.

mine was :

9496 kb down

490 kb up

6 ms ping

Thats with cable, I have never had an issue with performance and my Upload is much lower than my download ?

Your download is great for 1.5 speed. Your upload is slightly low but still good. Your ping is great.
