after i read he reported to minicamps, i thought it was a fat chance we'd get him. but i dont know. all of the sudden im feeling that by tomorrow we're going to hear the news that he's coming to KC.

I probably should have put this in the other thread, but such news deserves it's own. I hope Pioli is working the phones right now.

i know it doesn't say too much, but after hearing that he reported, it seemed like boldin was going to be content, and now it doesn't seem that way. the fact that he reported and he wasnt traded in the draft made me think it would really be nice, but it probably wouldn't end up happening, even if it seems right.

This post is absolutly nothing IMO. It seems that it is more of your desire than actual news and thats all good but, you should have put it in the other post. I would love to see Boldin as a Chief, doubt it will happen with his contract situation and as in the past, players don't get to choose where they play while under contract. He will not be put on the trading block of any kind IMO so that would mean Pioli would have to make a initiative move to aquire him and that is not his style. If Arizona were to say he is ok to inquire about which I doubt, Pioli would possiblly make an offer but fact is he won't go after him unless he knows it's ok with the Cards to do so.

We say this often but lets just have a closer look at 2 other pro bowlers that have been under contract this season:

Tony Gonzales- Wanted traded, wish fulfilled.

Jay Cutler- Wanted Traded, wish fulfilled.

Bottom line is, you will not get the true production out of a player if he does not want to be there, case in point Chad Johnson, or OCHO SINCO whatever. So this trade is very possible, and in fact Boldin is likely to be traded somewhere before pre season starts.

Meh...Tony wanted out last season as well but still played at his usual level last season. I think if he was still here he would've done the same and played to his potential.

That being said...

Jay on the other hand I could see holding out till week 10 (week players have to show up to earn a paycheck for that season).

But you're right most teams will entertain the thought of trading/releasing a disgruntled pro bowler (don't forget Edge)

Regardless of any rumors about the Cardinals reducing the asking price, they will still require more than we have to offer. The rumors are said to be untrue about reducing the asking price of a 1st and a second to just a second round pick. I would not look for this to happen any time soon if at all. The Cardunals are willing to sit his *** if he doesn't want to contribute and they don't get a reasonable offer.

Note: As of draft day the Cardinals had only been contacted by 3 teams and heard only 1 offer. ONE!!!

I agree, we definatly view news on different levels. I see it for fact and you see your own opinion and wish as news. However you wanna do it but my statement is still the same. You should have posted it in the other thread as IMO , personal opinion is not news.

I think that what was being viewed as news was the report that Boldin had not been to camp.

His opinion was added, with that news in mind.

Even still, would you have posted this in it's own thread? I wouldn't. If you or I had done this we would get the same treatment so all I am doing is making my statement about it. He posted it in it's own thread because he wanted everyone to see his opinion. The title says it. I disagree with his opinion, Boldin would be a great addition but I don't believe he will be part of the team this year.
1. he is under contract
2. Arizona hasn't agreed to allow him to speak with other organizations.

Other then that he can wish all he wants but that shouldn't warrant it's own thread. I did the same thing when I first joined here and got my head ripped off , I am attempting to be kind about it.
Are you really going to continue to argue about where something should have been posted????? WOW!!!! I thought myself, Canada and 31 argued about stupid stuff!!!!!!!!

Now , the only thing is, Canada just wants to change the subject to argue about anything, even off topic stuff. My argument is that the title of this thread is not news, it's a desire by the person that posted it. Now if your arguing that fact then do so but trying to start a argument over my opinion of this thread is silly at best. I will just leave by saying, this thread should be moved to another forum about other teams as it is Cardinals related, not Chiefs. There has been alot of this type of news surrounding other teams players based on the members desire to aquire the people either released from other teams or them not showing up for camps. That means it's not Chiefs news but more so other teams related news and shouldn't even be in the Hardcore Chiefs discussion forum.

looks like somebody wishes they were a mod

honestly, i think you're being a bit too over the top with this situation. im not going to reply to you anymore about it because i don't care, but you should have just let the thread fade away if you dont think it belongs.

i originally stated that i probably should have put it in the other thread, and in hindsight, would have probably done that. but i don't need someone reinstating what i already said. the only reason to do so is to tell me something i don't already know. if you have a problem with it, contact the administrator of the website. he can take the appropriate actions if needed.

in my opinion, most people like to hear anything that could affect the Chiefs, especially in the offseason when there is nothing new to talk about. It's not fun to go to hardcore subforum and find nothing new. I would enjoy to see that thread posted right away so I could be updated with more knowledge to directly relate to the Chiefs.

Good thing this board is for discussion about anything we want. I have read the rules and it does not say that what you post has to be news. We can post rumors, we can ost opininons, hell...post flat out lies if you like. the option to not read the thread is always there but stop complaining about what other people post.

OK, I'll argue your way! This is a football site not a site that regulates what post about any subject goes where. If a mod wants to move it fine. Football site remember? Quit worrying about where what is posted and either agree or disagree with the contents of the post regardless of where it is!

think about ir..are you gonna get a Boldin reciever in the draft even with a top 5 pick?? NO.. and you will still pay the same he wants. It's worth it//

Now your a Mod? I did state I don't agree and if I think it should be moved, I will state it anytime I wish. Maybe if Chiefster or Coach see this and agree they will move it. Maybe they feel that we can handle things ourselves without holding our hands. Stop worrying about me and stick to football, I can handle myself thanks.
Easy grandpa, I'm not a mod. I just think you bringin this up is hilarious!!

Some folks just cannot agree to disagree. They...In their own minds, "have to be right". I have been told it was due to small "jammy".

Enough about who is a mod...and who isn't. If Coach, Chief31 or Chiefster get an itch to move a thread they will. Anyone else is welcome to comment on the thread discussion, but leave the moderating to the guys listed above. If something really needs dealt with (spam, etc.) I jump in as I can, but I generally leave the other issues to these guys. Heck most of you know all I'm really good for is the sports book and then mostly just during the NFL season.

Boldin would be nice but highly doubt it. Has anyone heard any solid evidence that he may be a Chief? Are Boldin and Haley even cool with each other? Last time I seen them together Boldin punked Haley out on live TV!!! Boldin is a freak wide out but a Chief? I don't know.

That can be a concern. I do not think we will get him, but I am wrong many times over, so maybe we will.

As listed, it is not very active in the offseason...however I did put together an event for the draft. I will likely hit a few baseball events around the long weekends (Memorial Day and 4th of July) and the All Star game. Then it'll likely be dormant until football games start.

This thread relates to the rumors that Boldin might end up in KC, so it belongs in this forum.

I have eliminated several forums over the last few weeks to simplify these types of concerns. For example, I merged the "Other Teams" forum into the Locker Room forum, etc.

Thanks.
