1) What are the Kansas City Chiefs best asset?

2) under fan post. Hali better fit in the 3-4

I like the Hali one. I'm starting to like the idea of him being the 4th starting LB more and more each day for a few reasons.

a.) It beefs up what could have turned out to be an otherwise undersized 3-4 LB crew.
b.) He has the best pass rush repertoire on the team, no matter how unsuccessful he was last season (though much better after he moved back to LDE).
c.) He was a first round pick and I want some freaking production out of him.

If Halo can learn to cover the pass, then he will make an outstanding linebacker. If he can't then I expect to see him on the bench a lot.

the CHIEFS biggest asset are their fans
Tamba :fatlock: will do well at LB on pass rush and against the run, pass coverage ?? time will tell all!

1. Besides fans? Cap flexibility. We can make any move we want and be under the salary cap for the next couple seasons.

2. Hali may be better as a 3-4 LB, but he hasn't shown anything yet. I'll wait until he suits up as one before I decide whether he has any chance of success.

could be cause he hasn't played in a 3-4 'cept at PSU on rare occasion. compare game one & sixteen this season and see if he has improved significantly. then you shall see what you shall see! he played well opposite allen his rookie year, was dinged up his second and noone looked good last year.

Well, you either produce or you don't.
Hali hasn't.

well, he produced up until last season (granted, with Allen opposite him). nobody produced last season, so maybe it was a fluke year.

yeh but Cassel would not perform as well at NT as he did at QB. lets wait untill hali has had a chance at LB before we buy his plane ticket outta town. alot has to do with scheme, coaching, and surrounding cast. all of which sucked mud the last couple of years.

http://www.chiefscrowd.com/forums/images/imported/2009/05/10.jpg Bill Williamson: As of right now. That's the key, folks.
SD: 11-5. DEN: 7-9. OAK: 6-10. KC: 5-11.

Hali hasn't.

He's played in 47 games, he has 18.5 sacks, 170 total tackles, and 1 interception.

I'd say he's produced, especially since 2008 saw no one doing well. I'm interested to see how he does in the new scheme, and as a LB.

But I think over three seasons, you could hardly say he hasn't produced.

I saw another article on ESPN insider yesterday that said the Chiefs were improved but to predict them making the playoffs was a reach
Discussing the Chiefs defense it said Before the draft they were one of the youngest units in the league and to expect mistakes and remember reading his artilcle when the defense was giving up 10 points a game in 2011. I liked his article. If true our D is hrading in the right direction.

I think Hali is a very decent DE in a 4-3 so long as there's a dominant DE on the other side and good run support. Put him on the Giants opposite Usiuminyoura (sp?) and he'd get 8-10 sacks.

I don't think Hali's good when asked to stop the run without LB support or when he faces double teams. I don't know if he can or will succeed at OLB. I do think he'd be better of going to a team like the Vikings or Texans than being converted to OLB.
